Why do so many woman find it harder to express themselves sexually?

Is it because their are different standards for men and women? Are people still that closed minded? How big of a role does societies stereotypes affect how we view women?

First, Damn your cute! Ok now seriously, I am the "freak" of my group, cause I am so open about what I want. I will tell anyone, I suck cock, I swallow, I love it up the ass, and tie me up and spank me,HARD! All my friends know I am a cock hound who loves to look at pics of them. So I am the freak, to all the prudes at work. I have been told I am a perverted like a man. But do I care? No. I give a shit of how society thinks I should act cause I am a woman. I am very open about what I want and what I like.

    My two cents...smiles

Yes the double standard is alive and well even in todays much more sexually open society!

What is worse is that women are often the worst judges of other women.

Much depends on individuals of course and many factors some into play.
Their age, upbringing, religious beliefs, life experiences, misinformation, personality traits (some folks are just shy!)and how well they have been taught to communicate generally.

An interesting behaviour I have experienced first hand on this site is men who upon being politely rejected will suddenly resort to abusing a woman, calling her derogatory names such as slut and whore. I believe this is a perfect example of 'using' the double standard of society to hurt women by using their sexuality against them. Not sure I have expressed that well but I hope you will be able to decipher what I mean LOL

I think societies values affect us a lot, possibly more than we would like to imagine.I know after my divorce it took me a big adjustment period to believe it was ok for me to have sex outside of a serious relationship. Most of that attitude was because I was raised a 'nice girl'. Once I decided I'm a grown up now and can make my own choices and decisions it was a little easier but I still feel the 'disapproval' lurking around the edges.

    peace and healing
I agree 100% with the "Women are worse comment"! Also, thank you HOT for the compliment! I sit at work and think about the how we all view women and how women view us. In one day I can hear how great a guy is in bed from a group of women and how they'd be more than willing to fuck him again. But those same women think the chick that sleeps with everyman she's attracted too is a hoe. Even worse yet... after the men have slept with they think the same thing! This is ridiculous. If you like having sex you just like having sex male or female. I luv sex, actually i love foreplay!!! People really need to take a step back and and take a long look at themselves.

I FEEL THIS OCCURS BECAUSE MOST WOMEN ARE BROUGHT UP IN THE MENTALITY THAT IT IS AN UNSPOKEN DIRTY ACT AND SOMETHING ONLY DONE IN THE SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE AND EVEN THEN THERE ARE GUIDLINES AS TO WHAT IS PROPER AND IMPROPER. WE ARE TOLD AON A CONSTANT BASISI THAT IF YOU DO IT OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE YOU ARE A WHORE OR SLUT AND WILL BE LOOKED DOWN ON BY SOCIETY AS A WHOLE. WE TAKE THIS MENTALITY INTO OUR RELATIONSHIPS. IT CAUSES SOME WOMEN TO NOT EXPLORE THEIR FULL SEXUALITY UNTIL THAT MEET THAT ONE MAN WHO HELPS TO SHATTER ALL THESE MYTHS AND HELPS THEM INDULGE IN WHAT THEY ACTUALLY HAVE BEEN LONGING TO DO ALL ALONG. YES THERE IS STILL A DOUBLE STANDARD EVEN TODAY. IT SEEMS OKAY AND ALMOST A RITE OF PASSAGE FOR MEN TO LOSE THEIR VIRGINITY AT AN EARLY AGE BUT NOT SO FOR WOMEN... MY THING IS THEN WHO ARE THEY LOSING IT WITH??? YES IT IS STILL A CLOSED MINDED SOCIETY... I KNOW THAT IF PEOPLE AROUND ME KNEW I WAS ON A SITE LOOKING FOR SEX IT WOULD BE FROWNED ON AND TALKED ABOUT BUT THEN THOSE SAME INDIVIDUALS ARE PROBABLY DOING IT THEMSELVES JUST NOT USING A SERVICE TO DO IT! SOCIETY PLAYS A BIG PART IN HOW WOMEN AND THEIR SEXUALITY IS VIEWED AND I DONT FEEL THAT IT WILL CHANGE ANY TIME SOON! I FEEL THAT SHYVIXEN IS EXACTLY RIGHT IN HER COMMENTS! NUBIANGODDEZZ

Recently... as in this past weekend. A friend girl of mine was talking to me about how one of her male friends viewed her. He made the statement "You probably got men lined up for this weekend, if one falls thru I bet you got more lined up after that." What I found troubling about this statement is that he came across like that was bad! Men in general do the same thing and I'm sure he's done it on a few occasions. Because she's comfortable and able be sexually free why was she judged? Why was it looked at was something wrong? Is this 2006 or 1886? It just amazes me that men and women still think like this. I can't stand living in the closed mineded south.
