A Play on Words...

Ever wonder who came up with the words we use today and why?

While I was working on creating a new workspace for my computer by converting an existing TV cabinet into my new work space, a though came over me.

Shouldn't an image of what we know as a bed come to mind when someone says, "I'm going shopping for an entertainment system".?

Well, shouldn't it?

Lets face it. The most enjoyable, supposedly as I have seen in many movies and read in fine literature, piece of furniture in your house is the bed. You sleep on it AND you have sex on it.

I'm thinking there should be someway to petition the National Society of Word Definition Keepers to change the definition for Entertainment System so that from here on out, you picture a BED instead of a cabinet for your TV.

In stores, you would buy Serta Entertainment Systems.

Just a thought.

I'm thinking the Serta model should include a springy mattress on top (unlike that memory foam crap...you want motion in your ocean), a slide out drawer beneath housing a refrigerator for whip cream, strawberries, wine (perhaps a separate wine-only refrigrator option), high energy drinks, ice and so forth. It needs to have a cam option for capturing those special moments.

No more 'sleigh bed' designs. Who designed this little fucker anyway, some single dude no doubt. There is absolutely no means of hanging off the end of the bed.

No, the entertainment system would need to be open all around except at the headboard. The headboard would need to be renamed as the central command. The headboard has a totally separate meaning.

For those of use where our entertainment may be solo, the system would include a TV, PC and plenty of lube.
