A Woman's Worth

On Feb., 5th my better half boarded a plane to PHX, leaving me to tend with our 3 yr. old. I also get my two sons on the weekends 11 & 12 yr. olds... It has been close to two months & I have had to deal with the measles, changing baby-sitters, suspensions from school, a hurt ego, basketball games every Saturday, a shool play, a trip to Washington D.C., & not to mention the cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, & standing up friends! All I need is to be sexually harrassed on the job & I can be a full pledged WOMAN...

Single parents & working moms you have NO idea of how much respect you have gained from me... You have no idea of what your worth is! I salute you all... You never know until you stand in that person shoes!

Amen, my brotha! working mothers, single mothers, stay at home mothers, single dads(raising their children) and stay at home fathers, are some awesome folks, there is a few of us here who has been in those shoes. I welcome anyone who wants to walk in mine while I relax.

I am the real deal! "Come Get Me!!!"

YEAH!!!!!! I hope that you express this same sentiment to your wife!! It is definately hard work, being a single working mother, or even a stay at home mom!! It is very difficult, and add into that trying to still look sexy for our men.........DAMN!!! Thanks for acknowledging this!!

Don't thank me, I am thanking all of you! I cooked & cleaned before my wife left for AZ, no big deal. But to do it EVERY freakin' day, cook breakfast, take the boys to school, take the baby to the sitter, take out something for lunch, OMG do I need to go to the market? Then go to work! WTF? I thought I knew, but I didn't KNOW... You ladies are to be applauded

i think a woman's worth was calculated out with all duties performed for a family at about $80K a year...

If THAT'S true you all are GROSSLY underpaid...

I love it when a man fully understands what single parents and stay at home parents go through on a daily basis. It sounds as though you might have all of it under control.

MrNuttz05 replies on 4/3/2006 6:18 pm:
(lol)I don't know if I will EVER have this circus under control(lol) I know I have to shopping for something called 'Bratz' & a CD that I can't even begin to think of... All working moms SHOULD be alcoholics(lol) I appreciate you all....

My brother and I were raised by a single mom. Both of us turned out to be two civilly minded, honest, upright contributors to society. She says we are her finest achievement. I hope someday she realizes we couldn't have done it without all she did for us.

Good luck my friend...yer children are very lucky to have you.

Cheers

I was lucky to have both parents in my rearing, but I have many of friends that were raised under your circumstances & like you, they came out above average... A lot of single moms do a great job. Roses for all of them, TY for commenting!

Just saying Hi and I'm glad you see what a large number of women and now men go through each day as single parents or just hands on parents. I wish my husband could have done that when the kids were younger but I did the rasing. I now have 20 and 21 year old sosns and the day they came to me and told me how much they appreciated what I went through to raise them made it all worth it.

No road is traveled alone, just know your journey is a shared one.

The last two months have been very tough... As a male I am used to the emotionless problems, you know, like punish the kids, fix the car, things of that nature. Now I am choosing baby sitters, making out car pools with other parents, looking for things I never heard of for a toddler in a drug store... It's a totally different animal... TY for commenting...

I love you MrNuttz!!!!....

Yes, we single moms, (I have three children that would test the patience of Jesus himself)have a lot on our plates. My own personal plate consists of college (I graduate in 4 short weeks!!!! GO ME!) and work, household chores, doctor appointments, both of my boys sports and other school activities, and a 18 year-old-daughter that has her cell phone permanetly affixed to the side of her head... coupled with NO SUPPORT from the sperm donor and not a single family member within 200 miles.... but you know what, I would not change any of it. (Ok, I think I would changed the part where I don't get to have wild monkey sex WHENEVER I PLEASE... ) The trials and tribulations that I experience, make me the person that I am..... and I'm pretty happy with that.

NOW.... the person that I am, accidently hung up on you the other night... and I tried to call back like 3 times.. but I kept getting a busy signal... so I don't think you knew that I didn't switch over correctly for a while and was on the phone waiting... and then, tired assed me (see my busy schedule above) fell asleep!!!!!!! I AM SOOOOO SORRY MY FRIEND.... call again, SOON???? 'Kay?

Hugs and Kisses... and a looooong lick!

PS.. you should have SEEN the facial shot I took today during my nooner. I think we got some video... but I'm pretty sure we missed the money shot! I'm workin on it... LOL

MrNuttz05 replies on 4/4/2006 3:06 pm:
CONGRATS... You deserve that & much more! Hold your head very high when you strut across that stage... TY for your words!

I will call ya' & keep workin' on that

Hey there!! bless you hun!!! You've probably risen a whole belt full of notches above other men your age It takes a good man to take on the full responsibilities and then acknowledge his lady for her part...Your wife will remember this and your kids will as well, since you've also set an example for them in the process! Good for you!!!

Thanks for stopping through & patting me on the back It is appreciated... But again, I have to turn the appreciation to the single parents, working moms, & whoever does this day in & day out

Awww...poor MrNuttz!
Think of it as a learning experience and one more reason to be glad to see her when you head down. Bow down and kiss her feet maybe? lol

MrNuttz05 replies on 4/4/2006 3:14 pm:
KISS HER FEET? How about kiss them, massage them, & never let them hit the ground again... TY

_____The "miracle" where I have a child, is not the "miracle" I want. When I say fixed, I mean it as in...I had a vasectomy. It didn't happen by chance. Besides, forty three is way too old to have kids.

Dash, sometimes I have to just stop what I am doing to get a grip... For the 1st time in my life @ my job they called me to come in a couple of hours early & I told them, no... I have to take my daughter to breakfast. They were shocked! Actually, I got there late
