Stupidity Knows No Bounds

I just had this brief IM conversation with a member of this site:

Her: Some guy just sent me a picture of himself with his two kids.
Me: Nice! What an idiot!
Her: MAYBE on match dot com, I'd be ok with that.
from A F F..WHOA
Imagine if I was a blackmail artist.

It immediately got me thinking. Do you people even think before sending out your pictures? Do you really want anonymous people on a site like this being able to identify your children?

Screw the blackmail. What if a woman is a complete whacko who's going to kidnap your children? While I know this member has a good head on her shoulders, there are plenty of nutjobs out there and what if he sends these pics to some barren woman who thinks those kids should become hers?

If you're going to send pics to anonymous people on here, exercise some common fucking sense! Don't send pictures of your children to people you don't know or trust. Yes, mention the children, but if someone seems way more interested in them than you, that should be a red flag.

There are people who prey on children everywhere, including the Internet. The people at Perverted Justice actually pose as children and teenagers on the Internet, to reel in child molesters. Based on their work, more of these slimeballs than you can shake a stick at have been arrested and 40 child molesters they've trapped have been convicted. You don't know who you're sending pics to, if they're who they say, any of that. Do you really want some old pervert who's not what they claim doing something like jerking off to pics of your kids?

Just use some common sense. Don't send anonymous pics of you with your kids, your siblings, your spouse, your ex-boy or girlfriend, your best friend, etc. Just send a picture of yourself. Yeah, I know some of you have pics of you and Jenna Jameson from some porn convention, but I would even advise against sending those out. For one, it makes you look like you want a porn queen, for another, it makes you look obsessed with celebrity and porn.

Of course, if you want to look like a complete imbecile, send one pic with Jenna, another with the wife and yet another with the kids and finally, one with the family dog and/or cat. Just be careful of sending out pics of the family bunny. Especially if you own any large cooking pots.

I'm very careful about what I send out. I have a digital camera and can create my own images. As I tell everyone most women wouldn't give me a second look if we met on a street. The only pictures I have on my page are ones I did as a joke for a friend. She made an e-greating card for her gal pals. They think that is something she got off the web. She introduces them to me and let them have a feel. It's made for a lot of fun evenings and believers. If I send something out I ask them to tell me how they want me to pose. I create the images and send it out. A lot of stuff I get from women and couples are old, not very good, or not them. Not only should you be careful what you send out but careful believing what you get.

Heh... reminds me of a story about Big Daddy Kane I heard this past year.

He went out with a couple other guys to serve an arrest warrant on some perv for kiddie porn. They arrest the guy, and are taking evidence and such, and interviewing the guy's adult ex-marine son who lives with him.

BDK sees the son keeps eyeing a trunk in his room, so he asks him to open it. There are dresses, purses, bras, etc. in there, and it turns out the son is a tranny. Another cop holds up a pair or heels, and asks incredulously, "You wear these?!?"

The son is all contrite and says, "Yeah... guess I got a problem, huh?"

Pops, with his usual perfect timing, says, "I dunno... have you tried a shoehorn?"

This just goes to show that some people have a bigger shoe size than IQ.

I assume you are talking about me. I send the card as a christmas card to people on this site, people who are friends that I trust.

Even so, my kids do not live with me and you are not even on the same continent as me so how are you going to find them?

You are way too cynical.

I've received several emails from men on this site with their photo and children are in the pic with them. What's incredible is they haven't even attempted to black out their faces or in anyway disguise them.

Oh, and the other type of photo I love is the one where the guy sends me his wedding photo with his wife cut out of the picture, but there's a tiny bit of her wedding dress still left in the photo. Laughed my ass off at those.

Shutterbug, so you're admitting to a doctored dick pic?

Voodoo, cute story. But were they nice pumps?

Thanks Goddess.

Caress, I know. Unless you know the person, there are certain things you don't want to send. Especially when it's a first email.

Albert, this is the first I've heard about your Christmas card. No, this email was from some guy who browsed her profile. So unless you're suddenly moved to Nassau County/Queens border and are sending women in Queens letters that say, "Ur cute. I'd like to meet you. Here's my pic." I'm so not talking about you.

It's ok to send pics of your kids to friends. Hell, I've met the kids of some of the people I know from the site. This was an unsolicited email, from someone browsing profiles. Which is why I find it so dangerous. You at least have some handle on who you're sending the pics to. This guy is just sending it out blindly to every woman in a certain radius who he finds attrative and hopes will write back. There is a difference.

woman, Oh, I love the wedding pictures. Then they wonder why you don't want to meet them. Gee, you're married, your profile says you've been married for 15 years too. And you're sending me your wedding picture? If you call them on it, they suddenly claim oh no. That pic is from a few weeks ago, when he was best man at another wedding. Right...

A few years ago, I went off on a chat acquaintance. He showed me the pic he was sending out, trying to pick up women. His 3 year old niece was in it. He hadn't even thought about it, or that any danger was involved. It just happened to be the most recent one he had. That is the only time anyone sent me a pic with a child in it. I'm astounded that men use a pic with their kids for pick-up emails.

But I'm dying to know... How many of them had profiles stating they can't put a face pic up on their profiles, because of the nature or their jobs, or their status in the community?
