Mixed drinks. A wide world of enjoyment.

Did you know that there are several liquors and liqueurs that are supposed to be aphrodisiacs?
It's amazing on the amount and variety of mixed drinks in this world. Do you have a drink that you love alot? Please do share with us the drink name, what you like about it and how to make it if possible.

Devil with a Blue Kamikaze Dress On

Jigger the Vodka
Half jig the Blue Curacao
Half jig the lime juice
Float the I51 Rum
Martini glass or shooter glass

Fe fe fi fi fo fo fum. Look out everybody here it comes! Fe fe fi fi fo fo fum, pour everything in a shaker save the 151 Rum. Strain it all nice in a martini glass. Now float the Rum and light that devil! Blow out the flame then suck it all down ‘cause it’s not too skinny and not too fat. It’s a real hum-dinger and you’ll like it like that

A Steamy Menage a Trois with Sherry, Maria, & Brandy

Half jig the Sherry
Half jig the Tia Maria
Half jig the Brandy
Fill with Steaming Coffee
Top with lots of Whip Cream and don’t forget the Cherry
Coffee mug

Your dreams aren’t the only place you can have A Steamy Menage a Trois with Sherry, Maria, & Brandy. Fill the Sherry, Tia Maria, and Brandy in a coffee mug then add the hot steaming coffee to all of them at the same time. Top it all off with whip cream on top and don’t forget the cherry. Don’t ever forget the cherry!

All my Ex’s live in Texas Kool-Aid

Half pony the Brandy
Half pony the Sherry
Pony the Tequila Rose
Pony the Strawberry Flavored Vodka
Fill with sweet-n-sour & cranberry juice
Strawberry garnish
Texas size tall cool glass

They say everything in Texas is big and this drink is no exception. Rustle up a Texas-sized glass of ice and pour in all the ex’s, Brandy, Sherry, and Tequila Rose. Now add the Strawberry Vodka, sweet-n-sour and cranberry juice and stir it up good cowboy. Garnish with a summertime strawberry, stick in a big straw and let your taste buds sample those ex’s one more time.

Being the most effective of all legal aphrodisiacs, Cocktails are great for both couples just starting and for those in long term relationships. For the couple just starting out the intended effect may, however, be undermined if you essay such vulgar appellations as the Slow Comfortable Screw or Knickerdropper Glory.

Instead, go for the Scarlett O'Hara. This drink possesses numerous assets: 1) the name has the right connotation of headstrong passion; 2) the colour is a seductive pink; 3) it won't break the bank if you happen to have a bottle of Southern Comfort at the back of the cupboard. Despite having fallen from favour as a straight drink, this peachy liqueur is fine in cocktails when its sugar is balanced by tart citrus.

The Scarlett O'Hara was created either to celebrate the launch of Gone With The Wind in 1939 or (more prosaically) by Ocean Spray in the Fifties to promote the consumption of cranberry juice. Oddly enough, the first taste to assail your palate is more like strawberry - at least that is how your cortex may interpret the peach and cranberry hybrid. This is followed by a sour blast of lime, then the zing of sweet red-fruit returns. After succumbing to two or three of these southern charmers, frankly you won't give a damn.

2 parts Southern Comfort

1 part freshly squeezed lime juice

2 parts cranberry juice

Shake vigorously with whole ice cubes and strain into a cocktail glass.

There is a Prince Charles (equal parts cognac, Drambuie and lemon juice) and a Prince of Wales (two parts gin, one part pineapple juice, egg white), but anyone wishing to toast the happy couple next Friday would be better off with a Monarch. The drink was invented by Douglas Ankrah, owner of the fashionable London bars LAB and Townhouse, for the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002. "Featuring her late mother's favourite tipple, gin," he writes, "this is my favourite gin drink." Too good to be restricted to royalists, this is one Monarch that will also be adored by the most Independent- minded sans-culotte.

Unlike many of the drinks out there, which tend to require recondite ingredients (vanilla liqueur, butterscotch schnapps, pineapple vodka), the Monarch is undemanding in its requirements - you can get an excellent Swedish elderflower cordial from Ikea. The drink has a lovely, fresh spring-like nose, the taste wavering between lemon and elderflower, with a minty top-note.

Makes two

100ml Plymouth gin

50ml lemon juice

25ml elderflower cordial

4tsp gomme syrup

Eight mint leaves

Shake with whole cubes and fine-strain (use a tea-strainer) into a cocktail glass.
