I Saw A Fox!!

Wow, this week I saw three foxes on three seperate nights while driving home. You may be saying..."uh..yea? so what?"...Idunno, I've just never seen a fox in the wild before. Sure in zoos but never in the wild. I've always lived in regions where they roam but never saw one. I guess if I lived in a chicken coup I'd see them more often but I don't so I guess I gotta take it where I can. But anyway, I was coming to a country stop, smelling the cut hay in the air and the summer bteeze and just enjoyinhg the evening, just past dusk and a fox darted out in front of me and ran across the road at the T csection. So he was in the weeds in front of my car and before he disappeared into the night he just stopped and turned and looked at me. I turned on my high beams to shine him to see him better and we just had ourselves a Mexican standoff. He was waiting for me to make my move, confident that nhe could get away whatever I did so he wasn't afraid. I jujst stayed there, watching him and almost sensing what was going on in his head, as if I could communicate in some animal affinity way.

Anyway, I just thought it was cool. Screw you if you think I'm a dork. I saw a fox, fugg'off...

LOL! I think its cool when you see something that you normally dont see everyday. I live in a small rural town and i have only seen one fox around. The first time i saw him i thought it was a big cat or a small dog. The little thing looks pitiful, i think he may have the mange or something, i just wanna throw him some food to fatten him up too.

It's ok, man, people laugh at me for stuff like this too. Once night not too long ago I saw a fox and a coyote on the way to work. All I got was strange looks and one "you just are way too easily amused" type of comment. Just go on ahead and enjoy it all and don't worry about being dorky. (I call it flakey when referring to myself!)

Not all who wander are lost.

I love watching the mountain lions on the front porch at night.
Raccoons and possiums, Bat's,cyotes, bobcat's,Deer first thing in the morning, and tons more.

God I love backwoods Texas. Thank God some nature is still left to see.
