what's the attraction??

This is a thought provoked by a mate's blog..after reading what he wrote, I thought about this...if you have to choose one thing, what attracts you to another person initially, the most..

1) Face
2) Body
3) Voice
4) Laugh
5) Behaviour
6) dressing
??

Let me put it another way...if you noticed a guy / girl walking pass and thought Mmmmm...what would be the first thing you look out for??

There are more details...like teeth in the face group, or skin texture in the body group, or mini skirt in the dressing group...but if you're unsure, just state the general group and we can go from there...

For me...it's always the smile and voice...everything else is secondary as long as she has a nice smile and a soothing voice.

There're two follow ups to this question...let's get this one out of the way first shall we??

have to say it's his behavior. a confident man is very attractive. i also like a man with a nice body but it's hard to tell with the way men dress normally.

Simply the First Impression??

Here are some of my observations!
Outlook... that is dressing and behaviour.... You will attract crowds when you are at the extreme ends...

If you wear your birthday suit in SG... U will hit today's and tomorrow's headlines.....

If you were to wear elegantly, you will hit the next month's Her or His World Magazine....

If you act weird... you will have to report to the cell....

If you act with class... you will be entertained by most people....

Now if you are ordinary.... u will be just in a sea of trees in a forest.

So question is how much should one stand out?

I would like someone to be her/himself and of course be able to stand out yet blend with the rest.

So I think for my choice... the overall... there is no just one part.... It is like a consumer product, eg a handphone.... what make it your choice??

1 Elegance?
2 Sexy?
3 features??
4 functions??
5 Inside software?
6 External hardware?

3-6 are longer reasons for you to be with it....Just like we humans... the inside is more important.... Goosh... hope no women will use their HP to hit me for this comment.... Ouch!

LOL

So in Summary....

I would like someone to be her/himself and of course be able to stand out yet blend with the rest and of course the person must be confident, have some chemistry with me (no one liner), and some common topics....

I will not enjoy an evening if I am just the provider... lol

For me its definitely the fire of intelligence in her eyes that would attract my attention... voice is also another determining factor

Welcome and thanks femme...sweetie...I'm not sure if I should be flattered or scared...heh heh heh...

To everyone...sorry...my bad...I left out one very important element...I was very pleasantly reminded of it today...and that is smell...yummy...

So please add that to your thought process...it's one thing I can't place yet but it makes such a difference...

first impressions (and Maj, i think u mean in terms of sexual attraction right?). for me in this order :

1. smell : clean smelling, like someone fresh out of a shower. doesnt have to be smelling like the perfume counter, in fact i avoid these types. a big no no for body odor *gags*

2. face : kind eyes, not bloodshot. nice smile with nice teeth, doesnt have to be perfect, just not stained or rotting puhleeze. i do find certain types of eyebrows (NOT a unibrow) defines the face to look manly. whats the deal with the new trend of men plucking and reshaping their eyebrows?!?!?! makes them look feminine!

3. dressing : fashion sense of this decade. not someone stuck in the 70's! a guy who could pull off the simple white T and blue jeans combo will make my day!

4. confidence : the way he carries himself can make him look shy, sexy, vulnerable, manly. fidgety guys makes me nervous.

5. voice : this also included their accents. not into the ah bengs or if non locals some of those foreign accents can be grating on the nerves. worse yet, a foreigner trying to do Singlish... arrghh! deep masculine voices are sexy, and if he can carry a tune an added bonus. imagine Russell Crowe with Pee Wee Herman's voice, na'ah, no can do!

A person could have all that's listed above, but if his inside is not as beautiful as his outside, what is the point.

Hey there JezeGirl...welcome...how are you sweetie??

*sniff sniff*...no B.O....check!
*squint into mirror* kind eyes, nice smile and teeth...very manly brows...check!
*look into wardrobe* no 70s leftovers...white tees and jeans...check!
*steady posture* Shy, sexy, manly, non figety...check!
*clear throat*...S'porean doing Singlish with a nice accent...la lA La LA La lA la...carries tune...check!
*soul search* it's as beautiful inside as out...check!!

*looks at you with kind eyes, flashes nice teeth in a nice smile, wiggles very manly brows, straightens white tee over blue jeans, poses a sexy yet slightly vulnerable but still manly posture, uses a deep and moderately accented voice, in an almost singing like manner...all the while smells as fresh and clean as mountain air with a light hint of pine*

How you doin'??

"but if his inside is not as beautiful as his outside, what is the point."

I agree with you sweetie...but there is a point...he would be more pleasant to be around than those who are as ugly outside as their insides...

Actually smell is a major factor in mate selection in all animals, humans included. The personal smell of each individual is a genetic summary of immune system compatibility. Basically, the more different a person smells from you the more different their immune system is to yours and thus the higher the chance your offspring will have a more robust immune system having inherited immunities from both parents. Opposites attract. So no matter how much women say they like clean smelling men or musky perfume or whatever, when it comes to the crunch it's not how well showered you are, it's how similar/different your immune systems are. It's all natural.

On that note, if you're totally into someone's natural smell, you can bet they love yours too.

errrmmm...minor flaw there mate...I'm sure a complete loser would be totally into the smell of miss universe or miss world...but am not sure the reverse would be remotely true...

hahahahahaha...
