Morning Phone Call

I so dearly love my friend. He never forgets to call me each morning , to see how my day is beginning or to let me know … my butt needs to come back to the South! Teasing me with the daily weather report. LOL! He’s so wonderfully wicked!

AND he’s my best bud. We talk like good friends talk, without judgment of each others lives. We share our views, likeable or not, and respect each other for the person we are.

We dance around the subject of sex, which I find is funnier then all “git out” as he’s always telling me about the “older women” encounters, in his trek across the internet. But all in all … he’s become family, like the little brother, I never had. The male friend that poses no threat on my heart. He’s so good like that, too. No hidden agenda.

It’s been almost a year since we met online, then in person ,and still have that same energy force around us.

This morning, the familiar call came as usual … the smiles across the miles … and the “Hey, Sister … how you doing?” … and I find that our friendship is priceless!

It's so difficult to find "these" kinds of friendships without drama.

I'm blessed with my "extended family" no matter where I end up. And who knows ... with any luck, I could end up in around your area too.
I'm such a lost child

That's good to hear that such friendships still exist. They are rare but very meaningful and give hope especially in our times where most people think and act on the basis of individual interest and their hidden agendas use other people as a means and objects towards achieving their ends.

You miss TX? I am a lost traveler from another continent in this state; luck brought me here and luck will take me away soon, I guess. I don't know where I will end up and this is the excitement of my trip but I know that I will miss TX a bit...

If it wasn't for my friends in other states, I'd have no phone calls ... LOL!
They say home is where the heart is ... I often wonder about that, as I've not been to my home-home since I was 25, I took my mom's ashes to her birth home, that was my last and final trip.
I just find a place that's comfy and sit a'spell. When I can.
Maybe one day ... roots will grow.

Thank you Maggie, you are very sweet and kind. I will be visiting here often 'cause I like what and how you write. I have embarked on a trip looking for that elusive chemistry (there are a few poems on my blog if you like to read) that I hope they won't prove to be illusive illusions....

By the way I listened to your advice and I did copyright my stuff, just in case, though I think that no-one would like to steal my writings..

Again I appreciate your kindness and I have to say that you are apparently an exceptional woman. It's a great pleasure and honor to read your writings and comment on them. I wish you the best luck to your journey and absolute happiness to your 'extended' family.....

It's good to have a friend, is it not? As for home, I've never left. Though I might - one day.

I wish you the very best in the New Year. I am from New York but I believe I have southern blood in my veins. I would write to you but I am 47 and separated, which are two strikes against me. In any case love your pics and again best wishes in the New Year
