What is Baggage?

What is Baggage?
Are they things you see in an Antique Store?
or Are they memories for a Lifetime?

I remember a very wise saying from my Grandmother.
"If problems were shoes
And everybody put their shoes on the table
you'd grab you own
and RUN like hell!"
)

I'm working on a philosophy to handle baggage. It's the "Justdropit" philosophy. Get a cheap briefcase & fill it with a hundred pounds of rock. Imagine that the briefcase is stuffed with emotional baggage you can't or won't let go of, frustrations you complaine about & all those old memories that 'haunt' you. Now think about carrying this baggage around with you, everywhere you go, for an entire week......to start.
The simple cure for all the pain & drudgery is, somewhere along the way, you 'Just Drop It'.

Baggage are memories of a life time, it are also things/issues that, at times keep people from finding inner peace and serenity.

Your Grandmother was a smart and wise woman.
Baggage belongs in the trash can, and not in
our lives creating caios.

At the end of every journey, you go through your baggage. Some things you find are important to you, and you put them in a familiar place to enjoy again and again. The things we return with that don't bring us joy we should let go of and move forward.

My favorite comment is " Either your part of the solution or part of the problem which is it"

One must break the word "baggage" down. A "bag" is a unit that holds things. "Age" is an element of time. The bag of your life is full of your living. Therefore, baggage is your life from birth to death, and sometimes after.

Some bags get more wear and tear. Some get stained. Some seem to get lost. They all get grey and wrinkled.

Yu shouldn't try to carry your baggage everywhere you go. People that try end up bent over and crotchity. Instead, steal a shopping store cart and push your baggage. It will keep you young and happy!

Baggage is something that you hope arrives at the same time the plane does. Mike

Baggage of the mental kind is the toughest to deal with. We all have some physical baggage, but because it is physical, it is easy to see and deal with. Ahhhh, but mental baggage.....sometimes it doesn't surface right away, and because it is non-tangable, it is hard to quantify. Either way, life is what you make of it, and if it doesn't kill you or put you in prison, it is small stuff, and life is too short to sweat the small stuff...
