SPRING WISHES

Sexy one,
How was your first day of SPRING? I hope it was a pleasant one, I had some new plants brought in which I am very excited over, some desert plants and a few others. Amongst them a beautiful little tree that grows little yellow flowers. Oh no! which I forgot to water today, what a bad mommy. Los Angeles is having weird weather leaving gorgeous big clouds behind. Today was nice and Sunny, ah the second day of SPRING.....I am so excited!!!! I can not wait for mid SPRING when all of the flowers aroma is at it's strongest, how delicious and enjoyable my evening jogs will be. I am looking forward to this beautiful SPING. I hope you get to learn more about me and I look forward to learning more about you.
P.S.
Positive thoughts bring positive things.
Sasha

We had snow for the first day of spring here in east central OHIO. My day could have been better. I left Wally World pissed not long ago. I finally decided to upgrade and by a new TV. Went to about 5 different stores. Took me all after noon and into the evening. Looked at what seems to be a thousand TVs. Then decided on what best fit my needs at a good price. Then said to the clerk I want that one. But the aholes didn't have any in stock. Then I pointed to my second choice. A little smaller But OK. But the aholes didn't have any in stock. So I tried my third choice. Same size as first choice but more expensive. And guess what. The aholes didn't have any in stock. Asked the clerk Why the hell do they have all these TVs on display if they aint got them in stock? ( I did ask nicer than that I use to work with him before he retired from the power Plant ). I gave up and went home. It was too late to go somewhere ells.

Hi KINK You're so right about the positive thoughts. I didn't always understand it, but I'm so thankful that I do now. I went to the observatory again today. They were filming down by the squirrels, so I didn't stay long to feed them. Tons of them though. The trails are still good, but I hope they put some filler into some of the erosion divots after the rain goes away. I smell the Jasmine by my apartments that grows next door when I walk by. It's very nice indeed. I'm excited about the coming months and I'm sure to be enjoying some of our wonderful weather. And your pretty bloggy of course.

Android,
I am sorry to hear about your bad day. I just hate it when stores do not have the item I want in stock yet still have the display model sitting as if they did have it.

Funny,
I feel horrible now, I was so excited over SPRING that I did not take in consideration that most of you darlings are still under winter weather. Check your door I am mailing over a bit of this Suny California weather for you.

Real,
Thank you.

Caress,
Thank you for stopping by, Spring is such a beautiful time of year.
Great for a favorite season.

Mr G,
I am so glad you now see the importance of positive thinking, I tend to forget my self. Those little HOLLYWOOD squirrels always having to dodge the cameras and big lights.
So G, do you ever hike any of the other trails in Griffith?
P.S.
I too have been smelling the jasmine(mmm) it semells so nice....ah nature!

Sassy,
What a beautiful bouquet, great photo!!!! What is it like during SPRING?

Gorgeous K,
There you are sweet darling, I want to see the little Bird house. You are so adorably sweet. DAMN!!!! now I have to have a pretty little bird box for my back yard. I can not wait to show you photos of my new plants.

"So G, do you ever hike any of the other trails in Griffith?" Yes I do MISS KINK The observtory trail is a quick little jaunt so I do it often when I have classes later in the evening. I did it again today. I've been above the sign and all around, but I mostly stay by the entrance where the squirrels are because I could walk there if I wanted to.

Hi Kinque,

Today I tore open a few packets of Morning Glory seeds and one of Giant Sunflower and am now soaking them overnight for planting tomorrow morning. I got a few other exotic types of sunflowers that I'll plant a bit later too. I also got a jumbo pack of California poppys , a few types of oriental poppies, foxglove , anise and nasturtiums.

I did not know this about nasturtiums but on the seed packet it says..."Edible Flowers!". It does not say if they taste good or not though. Maybe they leave that up to the grower to decide.

Also the "native grasses" of the area are also now growing and multiplying themselves with great rapidity. (as are the bunny rabbits) This could turn out to be a heavy duty mowing season. I called them "native grasses" because I don't like the term "weeds". Actually some of the native plants here are quite nice and I always allow a selct few to remain and grow to full gigantic adulthood. There is an area where white sage grows wild in the back too. It's got quite a strong "canyony" aroma to it and the native indian tribes in this area once used it medicinally and ceremonially.

There is also a teeny tiny species of native morning glory around. The flower has the identical shape to the kind I bought seeds for but these flowers are 10 times smaller.

Also there is Yerba Del Diablo. AKA Jimson weed , Loco weed or Datura. It has beautiful white 'trumpet' shaped flowers that comes out at night and they still are at their peak form as the sun is coming up in the morning. The plant is pale green and has a velvet like texture but it sort of "stinks". Not one to mix into a fragrant bouquet. And don't eat any part of it especially the seeds or you'll have powerful nightmarish hallucinatory deliriums similar to those had by people who get extremely high fevers.

I know a guy who's a doctor and he's an emergency specialist working exclusively in ER's. He told me there is no antidote for this plants nightmarish effects and you pretty much just have to ride it out through the whole course of the thing if you eat any. They do have something thay can give to temporarily get you to focus back to this reality of ours so they can ask you a few questions but soon it wears off and you are back to your nightmarish delirium. He sais they give the temporary clear up medication to ask if the person knows how they got into that state of mind and too see if indeed Yerba del Diablo was the culprit. It's still a nice plant though just make sure to never eat any.

I could go on about the local plant life and my own gardening but I think I've already said a few too many mouthfuls.

KMAS,
Still waiting for you to tell me where to mail them to. You are so thoughtful for thinking of those in ALASKA.

Cameo(TILLER),
Do not frown darling before you know it you will be playing in that garden of yours.

Snatchie Pooh,
Baby, you better be thinking all positive thoughts. And as soon as your beautiful mind tries to take that negative turn pull the emergency break and retrack. You are way too awesome to have any negativity from your self or others.

Mr Big,
How are you stranger???
Georgia huh? how intriguing that state is to me, I guess the film the "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" planted that intrigue deep inside of me.
P.S.
So if girl's from Georgia are referred to as a "Georgian Peach" what do they call the males?

Meow,
I really dislike being mean or rude and only resort to such animalistic behaviour when truly needed. I have dealt with women like her all of my life.
P.S.
I am your friend Meow, yes even after you tagged me, you brat

KC,
Always with interesting facts, Edible Flowers....I am so there I am going to do research on that and go get some to see which are my fav, I will keep you posted on that.
P.S.
Stay away from the Jimsom weed, that stuff smells so gross. I ran to one of it's flowers one day not realizing what it was and not a second after touching it my whole little hand smell like Flower Ass!!!

Cowboy,
I would invite you to have a good jog with me but your harem might come after me.............
P.S.
I have not lived this long by doing stupid things

Hey Kinque,

You are right about that flowers ass aroma.

I have some stapelias which are catctuslike succulents from South Africa and they have these weird and wild starfish-like flowers that look like they came from outer space. And they smell like a doo-doo load!

Seriously. This is how the plant fools flies into pollinating their flowers. The flies think they smell some righteously freshs caca and come and lay their eggs on the flowers thinking their offspring will have something to eat once they hatch and in doing this they track the plants pollen into the flowers of other plants.

But the poor little fly larva eventually hatch out and starve to death while the plant evilly cackles as it now is sporting some new seed bearing fruit which the flys helped bring to their full fruition.

Stapelias. Google on 'em to see the outer space "zebra starfish" lookin' flowers. These would also be no good for a fragrant bouquet. But if someone were on your shit list.....

KC,
That is some funny stuff, send someone a bouquet of some jimson weed and mix in some stapelias, oh boy. Thank you for participating in my PRETTY BLOGGY, you always bring culture and educational facts to it and I love that.
You know KC, I often begin to feel blue due to some bad experiences from the past, people can be a little deceitful at times and that has really hurt me. The next time I begin to flashback on those bad memories I will just have to remember that Flowers do it too, it is a need, a way of survival. Perhaps some humans have to do this too in order to survive.
P.S.
I think I will go look for a huge nice marble staute to grope now.
