To ejaculate without purpose is a waste of spiritual energy

An ancient philosophy

“To ejaculate without purpose is a waste of spiritual energy.”

This is a Buddhist philosophy in which I think many are unable to understand and comprehend.

It is not that sex is bad, and it is not that sex is only meant for creation. It is that sex is a treasure meant to be shared amongst loving people. It does not mean “two people that love each other,” but means “two loving people.”

Most people in modern society that engage in sexual activities are selfish people that do it merely for their own personal pleasure. Most couples do it for pleasing one another. Sex amongst couples is often better because they know better then to only focus on themselves where’s as most single people are unwise and greedy.

Yes, I was witness to some of that. I never thought you a jerk even though my blog rubbed you the wrong way. It will probably continue to do so, but from the very beginning of that recent fuss I supported you in the blogs of my friends.

I see something in you that appeals to me. Well more than just one thing. For one it is your sincerity. Also, I share your love of history and I don't just love it and leave it, I am always learning more. I like your thoughtfulness and the effort you put into trying to make what you are trying to say CLEAR. (you don't have to be a scholar to understand and enjoy your blog). I see a "young me" when I look at you. (don't worry, not much chance you will end up like me)

One good thing that came out of all that fuss from last week was that it alerted me to your blog which previously I had hardly paid any attention to. (see, that list doesn't always work)

Now I will be following you as I follow others. I will be noting with special interest your history posts. The main body of your sexual research I will read according to the length of it and the time I have to hang out over here. (not likely to get much response from me on the longer ones I am afraid...not your fault, just my preference)

Yes, but many assume I am a jerk for them. There is a very old saying that goes along with one who "assumes"

And that is part of your charm my friend. Your sincerity to your beliefs is endearing.

This has nothing to do with virginity. I would not sleep with a woman I do not know. I do not believe in it! This is why I study the older philosophies... I STILL BELIEVE IN THEM!

No I am not sure of this, nor is anyone. It is a very old teaching in which many people today assume means that monks do not believe in sex, and think it is wrong.

Much like many biblical translations... if god and monks are so loving, then why would they feel the way many think? It is mis-interpretation!

They both believe in sex, but believe in the emotional powers it holds over the mere physical ones that most people in modern society focus on.

Are you sure of this? How do you know that most singles are unwise and greedy?

Do you think that this condition is symptomatic of modern society only? If so, where in history do you think the line should be drawn?

This philosophy has many ideas that appeal to me. Thanks for the post. It did get me thinking.
