Nymphomania

I was looking at the profiles of one of AdultFriendFinder’s most popular female members. She claims she might be a nymphomaniac.

Does she even know what a nymphomaniac is?

It is not something a woman should be bragging about!

A man would not desire a nymphomaniac as they normally do not receive sexual pleasure to a level of fulfillment that most normal women would achieve. No matter how good a man is… nymphomania is often a permanent state of arousal that doctors treat with medication or through sexual exercises.

A lot of people think that being a nymphomaniac is a good thing and that a sex addict is a bad thing.

It is the other way around!

It is fundamentally human to be a sex addict.

They have a name for a similar condition in men. It's called satyriasis, I believe.

I believe in the "true" definition of a nymphomaniac.

According to my sexuality dictionary and encyclopedia a nympho is described as being only applicable to WOMEN.

It is seen as a disease where a woman will remain sexually aroused even after being sexually stimulated. No matter how many orgasms she has or how sexually pleased she gets, she will remain in a permanent state or arousal that must be medically tended to. Doctors can treat it through medication or through excercises that over time teach the women to stop the erection.

Normally a nymphomaniac has a erect clitoris for days on end because she remains sexually aroused.

(lots of spelling errors but I am in a hurry)

A nymphomaniac does not always enjoy sex, they have to have it or they will experience something very similar to a man when he has the so called "blue balls".

I dated a true nymphomaniac for about a year, and the Knight is right - it isn't as fun as you'd imagine. She was probably the most attractive woman I've ever been with, just watching her made me high, made me insane with lust.... at first. Despite my best efforts, after the first four months or so, I couldn't supply her fast enough to meet the demand. I mean, if I had nothing to do but stay home and munch on viagra and crystal meth... maybe.... but I had to work. Somebody had to pay the bills. She started bothering me at work, stopping by and trying to get me to have quickies with her, which would have been awesome, in moderation, but she was showing up everyday, walking through the cubicles already so wet that you could smell sex on her five feet away... and we'd argue at home because she thought I didn't love her if I didn't want to have sex. Then she'd get jealous if I spent any time with anyone else but her. I guess she figured the time I spent with a buddy or with my family could be better spent in bed with her... She started screwing my friends and my brothers just to cause fights bewteen us so I'd stay home with her more. When I finally saw what was going on and tried to cut things off, she stalked me, harrassed me, threatened me... I ended up getting a restraining order against her, changing all my contact information, moving to another part of town. The really messed up part was that through it all, I kinda got addicted to HER. It was really hard for me to go back to a sane life and sane sex with a sane woman. I had gotten so used to the urgency, the drive, and the violent undertones that had accompanied sex with the nympho that my parts didn't know what to do for a while, and god, I CRAVED her after she was finally gone. Luckily, I got everything straightened out, so to speak, both with my hydraulics and with my family and friends. It just goes to show that you really can have too much of a good thing!

L&H, what is this????? Trying to decipher the differences in people's opinions on what a word means. It is always going to be the same. This person believes that and that person believes this. You telling us your "opinion" isn't going to change the way folks feel about the definition of a word, sorry, it is not. And I am with Red Mustang, it is a great attitude to have to want to explore one's own sexuality. As long as it does not hurt anyone else!
