Does Size Matter?

Penis Facts

The #1 said thing in today's society is that African-American men have larger penises then American men. This fact is not actually true and that is why it is not a fact at all!

The real fact is that African-American men average a 6-inch erect penis. American average a 6-inch erect penis. Notice that they both average the same size penis when erect? The actual difference is in flaccid penis size. African-American men average roughly a 5-inch flaccid penis. American men roughly average a 3-inch flaccid penis.

It is proven that men who have a smaller flaccid penis do actually have a thicker penis then most other men. As a matter of fact it is always at least .5 to 2 times thicker then larger flaccid penises. Oddly the thickness is not only in flaccid states but in erect states as well. Aside from that doctors have proven that a larger flaccid penis has absolutely no bearing on increases erect size. Numerous results prove that men with abnormally large flaccid penises were only 1 to 1.5 inches longer when erect then when they were flaccid. In several other studies the erect penis was only .2 inches longer when erect then when flaccid.

Masturbation is still a taboo subject to a lot of people. Doctors have recently proven that frequent masturbation or sexual intercourse decreases the possibility of erectile problems later in life. The reason it helps is because it keeps the penis filled with oxygen-rich blood cells. A penis that does not get regular attention it will collect collagen and result in later erectile issues.

Erectile issues are "roughly" 80% mental and
20% physical. Often times a slight physical problem appears and then a state of depression sets in. Often that state of depression is what keeps the physical problem a continual problem. Most modern erectile medications repair chemical imbalances in the brain to allow a state of erection.

There is "no" guaranteed method of penis enlargement.

Most enlargement agents only work on 10% to 30% of the men who try them. As a way to get men to try their products they advertise false findings and statistics about penis length and width. Many of these places and companies advertise that the average penis is 7 to 9 inches when erect and 4 to 6 inches thick when erect. Doctors claim it is 4 to 6 long when erect and roughly 1 1/2 to 2 1/4 thick. Why would these companies do this? Well unless they make you think you have an abnormally small penis then you will not bother trying out their penis enlargement agents. The biggest insecurity most men have in modern society is within penis size. That is what and why they attack it, if they know it hurts then they are going to make it hurt even more.

The average vagina is 4 to 6 inches in depth. The penis is also averaged at 4 to 6 inches meaning that 70% of men and women can fit together like a glove. Do you see companies manufacture things to increase vaginal color, tightness, wetness, or depth? No you do not (aside from a very rare few). Instead you see breast implants and adhesive bras. They attack women's breast sizes like they do a man's penis size because it is an external thing that many people can see or see the formation of. Because of this fact it adds a great deal of insecurities.

Size only matters the most if you let it matter the most!

Another reason for so many insecurities in today's society is because of the porn industry. A seemingly large population of men and even some women watch porn. Porn-stars are not your everyday average people who you see walking down the street. This result in a false impression placed in people’s minds that all men have a large penis and all women have large breasts. This is not the truth, how to fix these insecurities will never be known. They have found that people who do not watch porn are more secure about their relationships and bodies though.

Below are the most recent facts you can find about your male member and what he can do.

Penis facts from around the world:

The average erect penis is 4 to 6 inches in length.

The average thickness is 1 1/2 to 2 1/4 when erect.

The average thickness is 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 when flaccid.

The average flaccid penis is 2 1/2 to 3 3/4 in length.

The average male orgasm lasts 4 seconds.

The average number of ejaculatory spurts is 2 to 6.

The average ejaculation speed is 25 miles per hour.

The average seminal release is .5 to 1.5 teaspoons.

The average protein content is 6 milligram's per teaspoon.

The average caloric content is 5 calories per teaspoon.

The average sperm release is 200 to 600 million cells.

The average swim speed is 1 to 4 millimeters per minute.

The farthest recorded ejaculation is 27.5 inches.

Every race has different averages. These results are a combined calculation of those statistics together. Remember that averages are based off of 70 percent or higher.

Does Size Matter?

In today’s society it appears that men have an ever-growing concern about the size of their manhood (penis). I am very sad to see such a thing taking place, it seems that the real issue being that philosophy in today’s world is not what it needs to be. I am going to do my best to use my philosophical talents to help some of you gentlemen understand what the whole “size” thing is about.

Does size matter? Everyone has a difference of opinion and everyone has his or her own personal preference about things. Look at men and breast size; some men like larger ones and some like smaller ones. I can say this even from my standpoint because I personally prefer a thirty-six c or less. Seeing how men are picky about breast size it is pretty expected that women would also is picky about penis size.

I do not allow my breast preferences to stop me from dating, but there are some women who will not go near a smaller penis and there are some that will not go near a larger one. You must remember that the average male penis is 4 to 6 inches in length and the average vaginal depth is also 4 to 6 inches. This means that more then 70% of men have a 4 to 6 inch penis and 70% of women have an average vaginal depth of 4 to 6 inches.

There are a high amount of women who care more about how you use it then they do how big it is. Why does a woman say that it is not about the size but about how you use it? Well the truth is that each size penis has it’s own strengths and advantages as well as its weaknesses and disadvantages. So let’s go over the size advantages in detail…

A large penis is a very nice thrill! When inserted into a vagina it is often too large for it and thus makes a woman stretch to her maximum capacity and feel it all the more. While some women would find being stretched as painful, there are others who would find it a very big added turn-on. Many women at some point in time (depending on mood) like to make love instead of fu***** like a Neanderthal. Seeing how a large penis is often to big for the vagina it is in, it then results in that man not being able to enter her all the way down to the base. Making love is about connection and sensuality meaning you want to be able to be as absolutely close to your partner as two can possibly be (the base should be touching the woman between thrusts). If your penis can not fit all the way in without hitting the cervix hard then “no” woman is going to allow him to fully penetrate her. Again that means the two people are not as physically as close to each other as they are trying to be. The ending result being that a large penis is better for fu***** then it is for making love. 70% of the women a man with a large penis meets are not going to be able to physically hold him! Some women like things soft and slow and others like is fast and furious! Notice it comes back down to personal preference?

A smaller penis actually has more advantages then a larger penis does. Odds are that most vaginas will be able to hold your maximum length. (You still have to be careful with initial penetration to make sure she can hold you though just to be on the safe side). This results in the ability to make love (bodies being one together much more easily then the larger penis is capable of). It also results in being able to f*** very rapidly and hard! You can literally hammer your penis in and out of her wet vagina as hard as you can normally muster. This gives a “bump and grind” to the end of your thrust from your base making full contact with her body and often causing added clitoral stimulation to the vaginal penetration which results in possibly faster and more pleasurable orgasms. (When making love slowly you can grind your body even more to hers and increase clitoral stimulation and pleasure even more). If giving it to her hard you have the added bonus that your scrotum can swing and slap against her creating an added sensation and noise, which could be very arousing in itself. The ability to grind your body against a girl in a circling motion is a VERY big bonus that most men with larger penises do “not” have this opportune or ability.

You have to know what your penis can and can not do! You also have to know what the woman you are with can and can not do! It all matters very equally, as I said above, most of you men with average of smaller penises actually have more of an advantage then a larger one. There are still more advantages and disadvantages that I did not cover, I have given enough though to make the point that needs to be made.

Look at flaccid penises; a smaller or tiny one can still grow to be 6 or more inches in length. Studies have proven that a small flaccid penis grows to a minimum of three times its flaccid length. A large flaccid penis does not always do that, and rarely does actually do it. Most 6 inch or larger flaccid penises only grow half an inch to three more inches. Think about the added arousal it can create, if you go from 2 inches to 5 or more. Most women love to see just how excited that can make you, and a large difference in flaccid to erect size shows just that! There is just no where near the thrill if you go from 6 inches to being 6 and a half or seven inches.

Recent dream studies conducted proved that “most” women who dream and fantasize about a large penis actually dream of one that is too large too physically penetrate their bodies. Stop and think about this for a minute… at least when you are small you know you are small and thus have an excuse. How would it feel to be large and still know that the woman wants it even larger? Now that is much more insulting!

Kama sutra is sexual positions; these positions are documented for mostly penis issues. They illustrate how a small penis can get maximum penetration and get the woman to feel it like she could a larger penis. While a larger penis can handle some more difficult positions, it does not have the solid advantages that I mentioned above.

Take the time to talk to your partner and find out how she feels. Study a little Kama sutra to make sure you are giving her the absolute most you can possibly give her. Work on it together and not only enhance your sexual activities but also enhance your intimacy and general relationship together. “A little bit of effort goes a VERY long ways”.

Circumcision Debate...

25 years ago almost 90 percent of American males were being circumcised at birth. It was rumored that circumcision reduced medical issues and diseases, this fact has been proven to be un-true.

Circumcised or not there is no length or width differences. Some African American tribes perform a deeper circumcision that will increase width of the penis but not the length. This procedure is not practiced in western society and not even known of very much.

A circumcised penis is proven to be one to two times less sensitive then an uncircumcised penis. Circumcised penises do have less of a tendency to pre-maturely ejaculate. Is it worth it though when it decreases so much pleasure to the male?

It is a proven fact that circumcised men are less likely to contract HIV, Herpes, and Syphilis while engaging in un-protected sexual activities. It is not a sure-fire guarantee, but they have proven that uncircumcised men have a higher risk to those types of diseases.

Uncircumcised men produce an added lubrication that is emitted from the base of the connection of the foreskin. This lubrication mixes with a woman's natural lubrication slightly increasing fertility abilities. It also obviously helps to keep a woman's vagina lubricated if she isn't personally producing enough on her own. Uncircumcised men are less likely to need the use of a third source lubrication. The foreskin can almost single handedly emit enough lubrication to not need another source when engaging in anal sex activities. (You never put your penis in a vagina after the anus unless you wash it off first). The clitoral hood also produces this same lubrication on the female’s body.

In the late 1800's some doctors began conducting a modified version of female circumcision. This procedure involved the removal of the clitoral hood. No reason is known why exactly this practice stopped, but it directly proves that the clitoral hood and foreskin of a man's penis are there for the exact same reason. They provide protection to cold, friction, and many other possible ventures. A woman without a clitoral hood would also loose sensitivity to her clitoris.

Uncircumcised men do run a slightly increased risk of penile cancer, urinary tract, and yeast infections. These issues are only a problem if the male does not know proper hygiene. Keeping a un-cut penis clean is rather easy, it is just a matter of taking a extra 30 seconds or minute to take a wash-cloth and wipe slowly the area under the glans (head) of the penis. A woman who encounters a man with a hygiene issue is probably better off suggesting a bath together then she is to mention the problem. By taking a bath together it offers her the chance to clean his penis for him and possibly show him something he was not taught. If he doesn't learn from it then it means you're going to have to talk to him about it. Cleaning the foreskin somewhat quickly after sexual intercourse is highly recommended.

Uncircumcised men do medically have a slightly harder glans (head). This can result in less pleasure for women but keeps the man at a higher sensitivity. Many women prefer a circumcised penis because of this fact. The reality of the matter is that it (could) secretly means that women care more for their own sexual pleasure then they do of the male's.

The undeniable truth is that cut or un-cut, proper hygiene must be used or health issues can arise.

Ever wonder what happens to the foreskin of the penis? Well the truth is hospitals do not actually throw away the foreskin. Instead they "sell" it to medical researchers to be used in various medical studies such as skin graphing, and burn treatment to name just a few of them. The reasons these companies buy the foreskin is because it contains more "fresh" skin cells then any other part and it lasts longer.

Basically not only do you loose sensitivity to your penis, but the hospitals make a profit from it that you are unaware of.

I am very average on length, slightly above on width. I was in a discussion with a guy that was bragging about having an eight inch dick. and how women enjoyed it....

I stated that I had never had a complaint from any of the women that I had ever been with.

I went on to ask him how often a woman would deep throat him during oral play, he said only a few had tried and only one or two could do it with some difficulty.

My reply was that a majority of women could deep throat me with little difficulty, and in fact most enjoyed doing it.

The look on his face was priceless... he had never considered that point before...

nuff said.....

average guys rule!

seems like there is some sort of connection to what women want and the average penis size... maybe mother nature INTENDED for it to be that way? lol

An excellent post! Thank you. I find that there are numerous positions where bottoming out can be quite unpleasant for both partners.

Everything has its effects good and bad, that includes curves! I am happy that I am 100% straight though.

It's a highly debatable subject, I'm lucky in respect to that fact I'm bigger than average, but not big enough to cause a partner any discomfort.

I've always been happy with it, all my previous partners have been happy with it.

However I do believe size matters, not in the actual act of making love, but it matters for a mans self esteem, as a young teenage virgin the only other erect penis' I had seen were in porn films.. so I grew up comparing my size to the likes of big John Holmes and the result was, for years I thought I had a small one, it wasn't until years later after many compliments and finally finding out that the average penis was 6" long I actually started feeling confident with girls during sex.

A small penis should never hamper your sex life, and even if your partner has a large gap to have fingers and a tongue, remember sex isn't just about penetration.

And I dont know how anyone could even contemplate getting enhancement surgery, these operations can go wrong, and it's preferable to have a small Willy than to have a mutilated, disfigured or a one that doesn't work at all.

Thank you header, like I said I wrote this.. hmmm... 5 months ago now and I have had a lot of trouble finding solid information about penis differences.

I know that a lot of insurance companies do not cover it anymore, a co-worker just had a kid not long ago and they had to cover that expense themselves for the prcedure.

I had that procedure done when I was 17 and no they did not remove much of the foreskin at all. It was very painful because the pain medicine wore off after 30 minutes and the actual thing lasted almost a hour and a half because they did not realize they had to do so much cutting. But seeing I was young I could not be given more medicationw ithout a parents consent and my parents where not at the office. They only approved the initial dose because it was suppose to be a very short and quick procedure.

I have been looking and I have only found 3 specific penis books on the market and only one of them was actually really good.

I don't normally look stuff up on the net and do it the old fashion way instead...

"The unkindest cut" - Circumcision

It is NOT a PROVEN fact that uncircumcised men have a higher risk of contracting HIV, Herpes, and Syphilis while engaging in un-protected sexual activities or an increased risk of penile cancer, urinary tract, and yeast infections.

The studies that indicate a link between uncircumcised men and an increase incidence of these conditions are not conclusive. Many consider the studies to be flawed. The populations sampled were small and not respresentative of the world male population as a whole. Some of the studies are very old.

There is NO statistically valid difference between circumcised and uncircumcised men in the broader population of Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Of these areas of the world, the US is the only country were circumcision is widely done. Statistically, the US is NOT better off than the other advanced industrial areas of the world were circumcision is not widely done. I know that many of the sources that you would use in your research would reflect these flawed studies. However, organizations that are opposed to infant circumcision have rebutals to these studies. The research is available through their websites.

Countries, such as the UK, Canada and Australia, that at one time practiced circumcision no longer widely do it. It has been reported that Prince William, the future King of England, is not circumcised. In the US some insurance companies no longer provide a medical benefit for routine infant circumcision because it is an unneccessary procedure. More and more experts are coming to the conclusion that, in most cases, there is little or no benefit to circumcision and that the natural benefits of being uncircumcised out weigh any marginal benefit, if any exists at all. Circumcision should be limited to those cases where there is a medical necessity - such a phimosis (un retracted foreskin) and even in those cases, removal of all the foreskin is not necessary.

If in the future when you rewrite this blog, you might want to check out other sources that provide information from other studies that bring into question the conclusions of previous studies.

No average is not bad at all... I am average and I do not have a issue with it. I can happily say that I do not wish to be any bogger.

I think that it is really just America that promotes the size issues. I really can not stand seeing all the breast enlargement and penis enlargement stuff that is on the market. They know people are insecure about it and know that by attacking that insecurity then they can make millions of dollars. Seeing as today's world cares to much about money, it is no wonder that we have all the stuff on the market.

I am not a big make-up fan either, I think people and women especially are beautiful in thier own way and people need to learn to accept who and what they are.

I love it when a woman dresses up and all on occassion, but I don't like those women who literally can not "ever" leave the house without make-up and stuff on.

I will post a blog on this in a bit... I think this is a seperate conversation all in it's own. Both very solid discussions, and I am glad you brought it up!

Wow! It took a while to read through all of that. Why do people try to convince us that we're broken when we're not? I'm referring to people trying to market penis enlarging treatments (or breast enlargements). Why do we assume that because one woman likes a large penis that all do? Why assume that because some men like large breasts that small ones are undesirable. Why can't we be happy with who we are and allow others to be happy being who they are? Why does it always have to be a competition? I like that your post brings out the pros and cons of being big, of being average or small. We all have something good to offer if we would just be ourselves.

This is a slightly older bit I wrote but not many got to see it so I deleted the old one and replaced it. These facts are the most current I have seen and honestly sexual information really does not change very often at all. Maybe a new stat or two every 5 to 10 years when it comes to measurements.

I wrote this because I see these questions asked here all of the time and I mean "ALL" of the time.

Hopefully it will help some of you men realize that penis size is not as important as you think. What really matters when it comes to penis size is actually the size and depth of the vagina in which you are placing it in.
