Coffee I love thee so

Being a night worker, I was introduced to coffee as a stimulant quite early in my career. Back then I used to settle for the stock junk that the facility used to buy by the ton. Maybe it was some kind of toxic waste that somebody was giving away.

After a while it certainly tasted like. I guess my taste buds were maturing and I was starting to look for something more than the buzz effect. Then I was introduced to the flat white. Now, I have not really come across anything quite like it in the US except to say it is like a cafe late but fuller and creamier.

As I started to travel more and more I became quite adept at finding the local varient of the flat white. The cafe con leche, cafe de let, cafe au lat, but here I have really struggled. I have tried all kinds of formulas at SB's but I have not really struck the golden combination.

While here I have had to settle for Moccona Freeze dried as my coffee of choice. As an instant coffee you would not believe how good it is. There really is no equavalent that I have found in the US. I have to buy from Australia. It would be a lot cheaper for me to get a local equivalent, but I am growing to point of resignation, that this is the only way I will be able to get my fix and the occasional long drive to Brentwood to my favourite coffee haunt.

If anybody has any other ways I can get really good coffee. I am really all ears. My taste buds are primed.

Try the Guatemalan coffee... good smooth blends and no bitter tastes!!! I got hooked on these while visiting Guatemala in 2003.
