I've Got Your Back

Colder out today.. might rain..

When friends are sick, good friends help them..That still applies here. Two of my friends are sick and unable to get their crops harvested. One because a metal pole hit him in the head, and nearly killed him. He now has to watch others bring his crops in..and the other because he waited too long to get a full body infection taken care of. He also nearly died. They just barely got him to the doctor in time. Being a Macho man doesn't pay sometimes. That guy has to also watch others bring his crops in.

And, those two guys are brothers.

It's interesting that the neighbors are all coming together to help these two, even though it was their own faults that they are now sick.

And, another neighbor with 4 little kids just moved into a new home, right at harvest time, and neighbors are moving in to help them harvest THIER crops also.

Good neighbors still exist..Good times are to be had when they work together..

My faith in people is being restored. Not all people are bad.. self centered..and generally not nice...Guess that goes without saying.. but I had to say it because...well, sometimes it feels like the world is against us.. But when it comes right down to it, there are people who "have our backs", who will be there for us when we need help.

Have you ever been the one that "had someone else's back"??

I've always said that good deeds done will eventually come back around. And you should never be an accountant about good deeds, as the best karma is when you never need that return help yourself.

In small towns, even here in New York, that kind of good neighbor policy still works.

Hope that your crops are mostly in the bins now, Linds, and that your neighbors fare well too.

Chas < who was in Ontario fishing over the weekend.
