Ok, I lied...

Ok, I decided to make a liar of myself and post again, lol....

Anyone care to give me their thoughts on this intriguing qoute?

"Oh, what a catastrophe, what a maiming of Love when it was made personal, merely personal feeling. This is what is the matter with us: we are bleeding at the roots because we are cut off from the earth and sun and stars. Love has become a grinning mockery because, poor blossom, we plucked it from its stem on the Tree of Life and expected it to keep on blooming in our civilized vase on the table."

GUILTY as charged! Clamp the wench in irons for her treachery! Oh wait, somehow methinks you might enjoy that...considering all the "irons" I have happened to be made merely of silk....darn!

Anyway...the quote be simply complex...we expect love yet love itself is something that only comes when unexpected and natural. It has no brain, only a beating heart.

It goes the way it wants to.

Today's lesson: Go with the flow and stop pissing away the passion in monotous rituals of the moden world unless it's what you WANT to do.

Follow the feeling, Alice, follow the feeling!

That bit of brillance will be $250. Don't worry, I'll mail you the bill!

A different perspective: When we forget our interconnectedness, the fact that we are all a part of nature on this planet, and believe that "Love" (note his capital) is something limited and to be hoarded, then our spirit, our soul as an individual, as a culture begin to fade and lose its impetus to grow, and thus must die. There is an old saying that the more love you share, the more there is to both give and receive. Or thte corollary "A candle loses nothing, by lighting another candle."

by DH Lawrence

When we get out of the glass bottle of our ego,
and when we escape
like squirrels in the cage of our personality
and get into the forest again, we shall shiver
with cold and fright.
But things will happen to us
so that we don't know ourselves.
Cool unifying life will rush in,
and passion will make our
bodies taut with power.
We shall laugh, and
institutions will curl up
like burnt paper.
