Happiness is like a butterfly; wait paitently and it will land softly on your shoulder.

Happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling.

In seeking happiness for others, you find it for yourself......

Please don't consider me a wet blanket, but..

Happiness of OTHERS is a noble goal, but I doubt any person can make another truly happy..

Your emphasis on the journey is an apt one.. we can only "travel" in the present and that is where happiness is to be found..

Happiness is the opposite of suffering? ... right?

So as we suffer, if we are lucky, happiness will help add balance to our lives.. eh?

bella We are ALWAYS MOVING .... we may arrive, but then we move again, after we have arrived ... so we don't want to arrive at happiness, we want to TRAVEL WITH HAPPINESS ... at least I do....

anacortes Frederick ... your always here, challenging me ...... ((smiles)) No one can make other person TRULY happy...... we each have to make ourselves happy and that comes from within BUT! If we can HELP others to FIND THEIR HAPPINESS WITHIN, then we contribute to our own happiness.... I don't think happiness is the opposite of suffering ... you can be discontented and unhappy but this does not mean your suffering ....... does it?
