Do I live in the asshole of the world?

Here I am actually writing a second post in the same week...something I thought I would not take the time to do again. However, as I sit here looking at profiles and blogs, I have come to the conclusion I am geographically limited to what is the empirical equivalent of zero. I am 200 miles from the closest major city, if you consider Denver a major city, and 100 from the nearest decent sized town, either Pueblo or Santa Fe. I have determined, even though I was reared in small town USA and have a fundamental understanding of life in a town like this, there is nothing to be had with regard to free thinking individuals, cultural events, museums…the list goes on and on. Hell, there isn’t even a good pub where you can go drown everything else out. I find that some of the most interesting people I view are on the coasts. Well, I am very definitely land locked, and there is not really much potential to change. There are a couple of really great profiles from New England; I am no fan of the Kennedy family, so I suppose by default those are unreachable by more than just shear mileage. One profile that has really struck my fancy in New York…does it count that I can find the place on a map? Interesting people in Florida abound; who said it is a place for retirees only? An awesome profile from Delaware intrigues me beyond measure; I thought all they did there was incorporate so people could hide better under the veil and avoid some of their tax obligations. All these and I have only mentioned the East Coast. I still have interesting people from the Midwest, the Great Lakes, the Southwest and the West Coast. There are some of the greatest blogs I have ever read from right here in Colorado…the distance, however, seems insurmountable. There are some great people who have opened up and shared things which have touched me and left me feeling like there really are people with some common thread in this world. What is inconspicuously absent, however, is contact from people whose magic AdultFriendFinder “check marks” and “x’s” match up.

With that, I pose the question again…

You are in civilazation compared to me living in Northern Saskatchewan on a farm..north of Montana..I hear ya on being land locked..I always say I don't live at the end of the world but I can see it from here..

Ah, but the one thing I learned...see my momma is from northern that you folks from the frozen parts of the world know all about shared bodily warmth...something these folks down here just don't get! I can say one other thing, in my limited experience in your part of the world...that is the end I could live in!

Depends. Are you the guy that moved in next door? lol

Distance can be a bit of a booger to deal with, can't it?

Thanks for stopping by earlier.

Hey, the Journal is worth stopping by to read. And yes, distance is a rotten deal sometimes
