New Socks

How great are new socks?

Not only do you suddenly realize how much all your old socks SUCK...... new socks just invite you to slide on smooth floors. Old socks just don't impart the same distance or speed as new socks.

I'm convinced that Tom Cruise was wearing brand new socks during the "Old Time Rock 'n Roll" scene in Risky business.

The intro to that scene (which, let's face it, SELLS the entire thing) never could have happened in old socks.

New underwear are pretty great too, but for totally different reasons.

Your absolutely right on all of the above..
Now I'm wishing I had hardwood floors and new socks..

Great movie by the way!

New socks also make better hand-puppets, don't you think? They're soft and fluffy, and the padding is still fresh and intact...maybe I just need to get a cat or something. Never mind...I can't stand cats! How about a dog? However, I don't believe my landlady will allow me to have a dog. Guess I'll just stick to the sock-puppets. Maybe I'll try the "Risky Business" thing.

You just imparted to me a couple of startlingly different mental images.

1. You doing a sock-puppet show behind a couch.

2. You in that pink thong doing the "Risky Business" dance scene.

Both of which would be incredibly entertaining on completely different levels.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you here again.

Most of us have smooth floors in our kitchens. Linoleum works just as well as hardwood in a pinch.

I like to get a running start and slide right up to the fridge.

A pack of cheap sweat socks is well worth the purchase price once you've gotten that first good slide out of your system! LOL.
