"The One"

"The One"

"the one" by nature goes beyond all prescribed definitions
eclipses all pre-thought ideals
is indescribable in usual terms
totally flies in the face of conventions

does not need any justification
asks for nothing
gives everything
holds you to no rules

comes home to meet your mother whether it's appropriate or not
gets you to do what you thought you'd never do
without trying
humbles you without intending to

lets you be who you are
hopes for nothing less
makes no promises
doesn't need to

i love that definition! but still don't quite believe in it!

while my friend "the crow" says such schizophrenia and compartmentalisation of my different aspects is the mark of a truly hurt and broken individual, i like it, i like being many people -- not one, and i like different people meeting different needs in an amicable environment.

for example, intellectually, politically and on the mundane level of daily life, and on bringing up our child, my husband is the best love i could have... we have such a strong synergy.

on the level of my creativity, my spirit, my imagination, and my wild sexuality, i am still looking...

i am not closed to the possibility that it could all converge in one person, but at the same time, it speaks to me of taming my wild abandon, which i never want to do...!

hi mysteries,

here's a somewhat novel concept question that I can't be the first to have dreamed up. It's more of a zen koan philosophic quandry.

What is the reverse of sighing?

But my favorite of those that I've penned is still...

What is the sound of one gland crapping?

I don't really know if I do either except in the case of my mother and father. Truth be told it's about them two only seen through the eyes of me secondary to my fathers eyes. So in that regard it's about the relationship legacy left to me by my own parents.

But my (now dead) mom only met my fathers mother through a dream that he had because his mom died quite early in life.

But I do believe that dream was quite a real and was not only a symbolic event.

I sort of meant the "take home to mother " part in the Rick Jamesean sense (not King Jamesean). For both my mother and my father (having different religious and essentiallly "racial" backgrounds were "not the kind you take home to mother" (That was in the 1950's BTW when "standards" of that sort were definitely "not as loose" or accepting as today (pre civil rights era).

but my parents took the kind you don't take home to your folks, home anyway.

If the Rick James part still makes no sense refer to his old hit titled Superfreak.

And I seek out the one.. the one that will do this for me.

Or the two. Two would be nice.

Maybe even the three. I would love to have the three.

Or a cardiac unit....................

I am not dead yet

such things routinely occur. i used to see this guy, it's been like four of five years now, but he could sense when i started dating. we had a casual relationship. he was a sexual dream, so i liked to drop everything for his calls. if i was getting ready to head out with someone he would call nearly without fail. i liked him so much, i sometimes dropped my plans to do it with him instead of a viable mate.

That was in a way very profound and does make one sort of gasp as it does echo so many different thoughts or dreams. The One just two sort words but holds so much meaning and weight behind them.

I'm with Bardicman on the numbers. However, I say ... "To The One". (It's actually a poem of mine. Check it out sometime.)

What is the opposite of sighing? Gas???

This is my blog - Comes With Warning Labels. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Is knowing of your every inner thought,
Without the need for words to be spoken,
Spellbound by the Euphoria of true love,
This oneness can never truly be broken ...

Thank you for the link KC ......

This piece is beautifully written , and the inspiration behind the words even more so....[legacy of your parents relationship, as seen through your eyes] now that is a *SIGH* sentence.....

My parents also had a relationship much the same as yours.....alas my father was the one to pass away , some twenty or more years ago now ...... and to this very day , my mother has never looked at another ....

Again KC , Thank you, your words truly moved me ...

thanks so much for this over-the-top response sweetcandyfloss! Somehow when reading some of your own things I got this strong sense that you might like this. It seems I was right.

But I'm oh so sorry for the ridiculously long delay on my response here. I've been a bad boy!

The results of such a thing might be somewhat related to that "nuclear" oriented posting you did not so long ago.

Nothing is ever the same... when it comes to pleasures.

with a hint....the erotic senses will manifest into an abounding mess of flesh

the mind needs fulfillment of the body

if it feels good ...it is good

In the grander view of things it's the outlook that creates the results so that indeed makes perfect sense that things would work out that way!

My outlook is that it is oftentimes the perceived effect which is actuallly "the cuase" if that makes any sense.

Examples.

Our moods are what create the weather. Not vice versa.

The brain is a side effect/by product of the mind - not vice versa.

Clear as mud?

How I ever wrote this monstrosity I'll never know!
