"Our Song"

OK kids! (said as if I'm the clown host of a children's TV program)

The subject for todays show is the general idea of the romanticized "Our Song".

It's quite definitely coming straight out of Sister_Act_4_You's most recent post titled [post 165594] so read that one first if you want a little background on what inspired my own posting here.

My last girlfriend and I's song was Bob Dylan's Lay Lady Lay as I did meet her at the Karaoke birthday party for my best friend and it's the song that I chose to sing "directly at her" that clinched me a major infatuation (and four years of nonstop unadultered, hyperactive rabbit sex) from/with her.

When I meet a married couple or any other couple who's relationship seems to be "kaput" I always say that their song is "The Thrill is Gone" by BB King.

Quite humorously there was once another guy who we had met at a later karaoke session and after I had got up to sing Lay Lady Lay and announced that it was "our song" he got up and sang the old Mr. Ed Theme claiming that it was him and his girls song (who was not present).

I have not made a recent tally on the voting for my Che Guevara or Rambo? survey but I've been feeling less ill today and may actually be getting around to posting a picture from that today.

But the question for you all at the moment is...

What has been "your song" in any of your past relationships?

Why did you go and link to the blog entry where my ass looks so fat?

Anyway, because of where I am at in my life right now.....when I think about romantic/couple songs, I am sort of reminded of the scene from Adam Sandler's "The Wedding Singer" where he is despondent and singing "Love Stinks" by the J.Geils Band at the reception

Other than that, I suppose my song with any guy who will have me is "Love Bites" by Def Leppard.

Sorry about the "fat ass" blog entry link Sister,

It wasn't intentionally a link to your ass per se' but was more of a link of relevance.

I'll have to come up with a new song that sums up my current state of affairs on the "love scene" but you have mentioned your own "once a month" concept. I need something that summarizes my similar but more exaggerated situation.

To give you a clue on my own my current goal is to see if I can have sex within the current millenium. Once! As it stands I'm sill have a batting average of dead zero for this particular new group of 1000 years. The last century is a different story but it might help if I actually tried a little.

But thus my not-so-humble appearance at this odd corner of the internet universe.

Anyways congrats on being the first respondent to any of my blog entries in over two days! I will admit to being a smash hit with the AdultFriendFinder cricket crowd (chirp - chirp)

PS. I still plan to get ahold of DefLeppards Hypothermia disc.

Hey MystOme,

I like Matthew's song Too Much but it's the reverse description of my current love life.

"Have Love, Will Travel"-------.Michael_IG65 - The Sonics, (made popular earlier by a Lexus commercial)
Yeah Baybeeeee! (makes me wet)

Hey Tiller,

I've always thought that song would be a perfect "long distance" love song.

I need to find one to sum up my current situation.

PS. Still hoping that you murder the lyrics on Up On the Rooftop!

My wedding song, was a remake of "Sea of Love", by Robert Plant and the Honeydrippers. The DJ never heard of it, didn't have the recording of the song, so I had to provide my personal album for him to play. I was grateful he returned it, although, after a magnum bottle of Asti Spumante, I'm not sure how it made it's way back to me, lol.

Hi sanppysback and weclome to my krazy blog.

I really like when someone comments on my ancient leftovers so feel free to search around for others of interest. Once at Karaoke this guy had overheard me talking about the signifcance of Lay Lady Lay and my now ex GF. The next song the guy sang was the old Mr. Ed Theme. I you don't remember it was that old black and white show that featured a talking horse. After the guy sang it he looked straight at me and said "that me and my girls's song".

Hopefully I'll have a new song of this sort fairly soon but I hope it's not something like the Mr. Ed theme. But I do rather like girls that like horseriding. Somehow it seems that they are able to translate the energy and exhiliration of that horse riding experience to the bedroom.
