Subbing for Julz

Hi everyone. I'm Jason, Julie's "significant other" of the past five months. It has been a joy and a privilege to get to know Julz (and her family!), during this time. As she said in her last post, she's not doing well, so I will be subbing for her until she is able to do her own posts again. She's asked me to keep everything in "plain English" when I post, a request which I will honor. The plan is for me to post updates every other week or so, letting you know how she's doing. And right now, she's not doing so well.

The last month has been a tough one for her, for us. She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and began treatment right away. She's in her third round of chemotherapy, with five more to go. We're taking it a day at a time, with some days better than others. In addition to her gorgeous hair, she's lost about 15 pounds, which she couldn't afford to do. Unfortunately, not much sounds good in the first place, and food doesn't always stay down in the second. But we celebrate the good days, and pray for more of them.

Julie misses everyone here, and sends her warmest thoughts. She can't respond to any replies you might make, and I don't have the time between my job and taking care of her. But I know she'd love to hear from you, if you don't mind not getting a response from her.

Thank you for all the strength she has received in the past.

Hi Jason,

My prayers and best wishes go out to Julie, you and her family. This really must be very trying times indeed. I can personally feel for anyone going through chemotherapy having seen how it saps ones energy and taking away the appetite.

Please do send her our regards...we shall pray for more good times. Speedy recovery and we hope to see her back soon. It must be very devastating for you as well to see Julie go through this...but please tell her she is not alone...our prayers will be with her even if we cannot be there with her..

Cheers and take care of julie

Thanks Jason for posting here and keeping us updated! And Julz....just know that just as you prayed and wept for me, I am doing the same for you. You can beat this. Hang on with your love. The chemo is rough....and is doing some dreadful things to your body. I have been listening lately to an interesting doctor....Richard Becker....which you can find if you google it. He also had non-Hodgkins lymphoman...and has some interesting things to say about nutrition and Noni Juice. I'm here....and there's no need to comment! Just know that I'm praying.

Jason... it is very nice to "meet you"... my name is Ron... though I openly admit I wish we were meeting under much better times!!

PLEASE give Julz my love and tell her my thoughts and prayers are with her.... She is a VERY SPECIAL LADY (like you don't already know that better than I and I care very deeply about her!

I am simply left speechless at the hardships Julz has had to endure in her life!! She is one of the most amazing women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing in any way shape or form!!!

She is aware of my "history" as well and I can only hope I can in some way give her a bit of my strength to endure this latest hardship!

I also wish to advise you that you better take good care of our Julz or I will come out there and kick your ass!! LOL I do believe you are a good guy or she would not have you in her life and she has said so many great things about you... so I will give you just a bit of slack here

Thank you sooo much for the update Jason!! And of course TAKE CARE OF JULZ AND THE HELL WITH RESPONSES TO US!!

Jason... As you know, the ones who visited her blog, and the blog she visited, Julz very quickly became someone we all cherished and adored here. I'm glad she has someone like you there with her. She is, and has been in my thoughts and prayers ever since she posted her last post... and will continue to be there. Give her my love... and I'll trust God to take care of the rest for her... and for you, also.
Thank you for this update. It means a lot. unlisted

Ww shall ask the Goddess to give her grace and strength during these times, and a candle shall be lit for her tonite. BTW, pot can help the chemo problems. May she return to good health quickly.

Jason, I've never contacted Julie, nor you, but have long regarded her as one of the fine human beings. Your post sent me to the net to look up the lymphomas, which are complicated like everything else, but I learned there can be a good cure rate. I am glad you are there for her. I would have traded places with you, given the opportunity. Dan

Hello there..my best wishes for a speedy recovery, for your Jules.

I spent some time in hospital, several years ago and I met a lovely girl, named Eleanor. She was in her 20's,like me and we became great friends. She was diagnosed with Hodgkinson's and had to have dye injected in between all her toes. She had to have her spleen removed, since it was infected.
Anyhow , she's doing really well and a nicer person you couldn't wish to meet.
I hope your Jules make as good a recovery as Eleanor. Good luck to you both.
