Why even bother

I've tried to figure this out over and over in my nearly 29 years on this "wonderful" earth. You spend your life being honest, telling the truth even when it cost you a great deal. If someone asks you a question you give them the answer to their question. When you're confronted about a situation you either admit guilt if applicable or point out that their perception is flawed.

So why is that when you tell the truth you dig a damn deeper hole than if you just lied.....I mean you did the right thing, Right?

When you answer the question that was asked of you and it's not the desired "what they wanna hear" answer...shit hits the fan...what's up with that?

Someone calls you out over so "Dramatic BS" and you come clean whether you it's with you guilt or innocent....you're still so fucked it's not funny.

So why is it that we choose to do the Damn "right thing" even if we're only gonna screw ourselves. Why do we put ourselves in these god awful positions over and over again knowing what will ultimately happen in the end........Man I'm so fucking stupid sometimes. I shouldn't even bother being honest it rarely ever does any good. And that warm fuzzy it gives from knowing that I did tell the truth....is all too often getting the shit kicked out of if buy all the dramatic bullshit from it not being the right thing to do.....

SO WHY EVEN BOTHER???????

Here's the deal - I am always honest because I don't want to end up feeling guilty or having to continue to lie later. Makes my life easier though most people don't like the real honesty. It's their loss not mine.

I try and keep positive...but it can be so very hard. People seem to beg for honesty, but when they get it's the last thing they really wanted. I keep up the fight even with the pain it causes. Glad to see that some one still appreciates it.

As you can see, some people can't take the truth!!! But, those who do (me amongst them) appreciate someone who is honest. If some people can't take what you are saying, oh well....just don't lower your standards and continue the way you are!!!!
