So... Why nudism?

Well, my first answer to that question would be "why not nudism?". But that really wouldn't explain my views. My first reason for wanting to be naked is comfort. Growing up, I never really liked the feel of clothing. This is mainly, I feel, because I never really could find clothes that fit me well, probably because of my build. Due to my handicap, I have a normal sized body above the waist. but my legs are shorter that they should be. If it wasn't for my handicap, I would probably be about 5'10" instead of my current height of 5'4". But that is only part of it. I really do love the feeling of being naked. The feeling of the open air on my body is the best! After being a "home-nudist" for several years, I finally decided to join a local nudist resort several summers ago. The feeling I got there was pratically spiritual in nature. I grew up Catholic, but have since shed that religion for Buddhism. Therefore, I felt, the act of nudism allowed me to commune with nature. The people there also opened me up to a new philosophy. Let's face it... When people are clothed, and you meet a new person, there is usually that thought of "hmmm... I wonder what this person looks like naked". And the relationship's goal soon becomes trying to get that person naked. Well, when you meet someone at a nudist resort, that obstacle is removed. Now you are able to learn about the person on the inside. To me, that leads to a more fulfilling relationship in the long run. However, I soon realized the people I met were also not my type. The owner of the resort imposed a bit of conservativism to the resort. One that, frankly, I did not like. Furthermore, the women at the resort I would have found "attractive" were already taken (isn't that always the case). With the rising costs of gas, as well as increased yearly membership fees, I have found my life of social nudism rather expensive. So I haven't actually attended the resort for 2 straight summers. One day, I plan to return, when I can afford it. Hopefully, by then, I will also have found someone to visit it with me. Until then, I have gone back to a life of "home-nudism". But for those that have never attended a nudist resort, let me caution you... Nudist resorts are NOT sexual in nature. They are usually family-oriented. But they are no less liberating. If you are mature enough, I would recommend it to anyone.
