Sexuality is reflected in the total expression of who we are as human beings. It encompasses our values, attitudes, behaviors, physical appearance, beliefs, emotions, and personality, as well as the way in which we have been socialized. Lets talk about sexuality.

I agree whole heartedly, but only in the perfect human being. Sometimes society will get in the way, whether it's real or perceived. In all honest, it's only taken me about 44 yrs to come to grips with who and what I am and I'm relatively well-ballanced. It's a juggling act that some will do better than others. Nice post.>>>itsallfun1957

Hey there,
Our perception is our reality.

The problem with our reality is that our sexuality, in many cases may not be accepted in the reality of those around us. sexual orientation, although one of the most celebrated personal differences in society is still, in my opinion, one of the least accepted. People don't want to know about it. It is one of the few things that can't be seen or determined just by looking at someone. Unlike gender, race, or religion sexuality does not have it's on special place as being a minority in society. What we perceive and what we hold true as OUR reality may not necessarily align itself with society. If it did...the term "coming out of the closet" would fade away into memory.
