Stagnant

stag┬Ěnant adj.

1. Not moving or flowing; motionless.

Yeah, this pretty much sums up life right now.

I really don't have anything to say because I work, work, work....and STOIC never (booty) calls.

I'll check in when (IF??) something exciting ever happens.

Maybe it's just me, maybe I simply need more mental stimulation, more excitement, more moments. Even if it is me....how can I change that fact about myself? And if I could...would I?

No.

So....any suggestions on how to pull yourself out of the boredom rut?

Don't take offence, for this is sincere advice (for what its worth):

Don't rely on STOIC (or anyone, for that matter) to give your life meaning. That would be idolatry combined with self-denial.

This idea has been phrased in many different ways, but the one I like most is "[as an adult] one can only be loved once one has learned to love onself". No one can pull you out of this but yourself.

If you're down, count your blessings, which you take for granted. You're healthy (I assume). No one is out to kill you. You can sleep safely at night. Drive safely in your car, shop safely. You have not been denied the chance of living through a better day tomorrow.

Work may be a drag, but if you were unemployed and starving, you'd look at it as a blessing, too.

If thoughts alone don't help, volunter and help someone who is worse off than you - in a hospital, homeless shelter etc.

Either way, don't waste your energy on someone who is not receptive. Pouring ones emotions into a balck hole is pointless.
