Why ask Why??

Why do people insist on asking why someone is not interested? When someone politely replies, "thanks, but not interested", why must there be an endless stream of follow up emails asking why?

Ok hate me now, but NORMALLY if I am not interested, I just dont reply at all (sorry I get too many emails daily and its too time consuming to answer them all). So on the rare occasion when I do reply with the ever present "not interested" line, I just dont see the need to explain myself. However, if you are persistent and really want to know why, then for pete's sake dont get all pissy when you hear the answer....Personally, my ego could take the not interested line, I might even be able to handle the reasoning behind it, but do I really want to hear it? Not likely, so I move on and check out the next likely victim :d

I always say, NEVER ASK QUESTIONS YOU REALLY DONT WANT THE ANSWER TO!!
