Warning: The ending is irreverent, and some will find it downright offensive. So it’s like a lot of my material.
Commonplace and less than perfect,
Cut of cloth with minor defect
Most of us will hear but rarely
From those who want to see us barely.
I hear them say they desire quick wit;
Then please explain ‒ why Brad Pitt?
Drew Carey is one of the funniest around ‒
Why no hordes of women to his house bound?
They say they want a sensitive man.
And Colin Farrell fits the plan?
Mr. Rogers is a sensitive guy;
Is he a chick magnet? If not, than why?
I think if we all just drop the act,
And focus on the basic facts,
I think we all have inner visions
Of whom we’d like to give permission
And despite protests to the contrary,
(That seem hypocritical, oh so very)
When it all comes down, what I am hopin’
Is that we admit we’re not really all that open.
Don’t worry, I’ve not been offended of late
To find that my wit weighs in less than my weight.
I know that there are some who value my humor…
I just pray that I find them before I die of a tumor.

...And the mention of him
Makes me want to spit!
Help! Help! I can't turn it off!
My brain's into couplets; please don't you scoff.

Drew Carey likes strippers|
Mr. Rodgers liked other Mr. Rodgers' rodgers.
I see attractive women with not so attractive men quite often.

You are so incredibly sexy - I want you, now!|
It's the whole poetry thing, ya know?
Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

To be honest, I don't have much of an issue with your weight, but I do value your humour.|

Okay, bad examples, I have to admit...
But is there not some semblance of truth to it?
I read a profile that says "I'm open-minded..."
But mybody-type is the wrong kind(ed).
Couldn't make that last line rhyme -
Oh, well, can't be perfect all of the time!
