(thanks to frnds4play)

They write of their boredom,
How so little pleases.
How they need excitement;
Their tedium then eases.

It's due to their partner,
Or the town where they dwell,
That their lives have become
An indifferent hell.

But I can't help but wonder -
Please, no offense meant -
But just how much time
Have they lately spent

Trying themselves
To interesting be -
Or, is it really
All about "ME?"

Have they ever considered
Stamp collecting,
Learning to paint,
Or just quietly reflecting?

Could it be that really,
If they searched their own mind,
The source of their ennui
Internally they'd find?

Despite all we hear,
Here in this loony zoo,
The world does not exist
Just to entertain you!

Perhaps those who complain of boredom have searched their own mind, hence the lack of stimulation

nbtnt -

I see you are Canadian - at least the world doesn't despise you.

The preceding comment was not a political statement. After all, it has taken decades of confused and misguided leadership from both major parties to earn my country much of the world's distaste. AZ residents, add $0.05 for tax and title.
