Unexpected Bliss

I woke up this morning with an intense craving...a craving to smoke...just one cigarette. Because I'd quit smoking before, I sort of anticipated moments in which I would likely find it more difficult not to smoke than some others.

However, today was a breathtakingly gorgeous day. On a whim, I decided that I'd go spend a few hours in Centinnial Park. This was the most ideal location because I could take my daughter to feed the ducks and play on the jungle gym. I called a close friend and invited him to join us. Though I was feeling okay I knew that if I was alone I'd have ended up buying a pack of cigarettes or just bummin one off someone in the park. By the time my friend arrived at my place a picnic lunch had been packed complete with cold drinks and something for me to stretch out across on. The park turned out to be exactly what I need to remain stress and smoke free. Through the park, we walked, talked and played for about an hour.

For the rest of the day following, I did positively nothing...soaked up the sun and just relaxed. My friend and I chatted occasionally but were mostly silent. I watched bees and the occasional butterfly pass over us on their way to one of the many flowering trees speckled across the field in which we lay. I entertained thoughts of being a butterfly fluttering about enjoying sweet nectar. Just how sweet is nectar, I pondered, would it be compared to the sweetness of a strawberry or perhaps it's a much richer experience like chocolate. All day I toyed with such playful, silly question. It was absolutely heavenly.

Now...I am exhausted...I'm going to bed early tonight....Earlier than I have in nearly a year. I'm sure that I will sleep very well.

Goodnight my friends...

And goodmorning now... Sometimes a lazy day outdoors is better than any productive day in the "cell" or cubicle; to where one's office is just a box amongst boxes in a bigger box amongst other boxes (and I think this metaphor hasn't even gotten to the box which is the office builing, amongst other.. aww forget it!). I was a brick mason and worked outdoors everyday, and on nicer days my productivity was slightly down, for I was enjoying the moment and not just focusing on work so that time would pass quicker. Anything outdoors when the weather is nice is the best medicine for kids, though I believe the pollen has given my daughter pains overnight (Rats!). I hope your day goes well and remember, if you've gone more than three days without a smoke, it's not the nicotine addiction, it's all in your pretty, smart, little head. I'll see if I can't develop a menthol flavored rubber, okay?

You can comb your hair and look quite cute
You can hide your face behind a smile

Is when you're crippled inside

Well I believe that the regular tobacco flavor would just be so nasty mixed with the latex taste...

One time this big muscle bound dude came up to me 'cause I was enjoying the sight of his boo. when he got in my face and asked me, "What the fu** ?!?" I dodged it like this above and told the jerk I was checking him out.
