How do you know me so well?

How do you know me so well, dear stranger? Two poems in two days, arrow-straight to the subjects that make my creativity soar.

The wind calls to me whenever I let it, caressing my body with promises of sweet surrender...voices of the past murmuring their collective history, some voices say be cautious...others say throw caution to the winds - take the permission you seek and run through the grass, shrieking with glee.

One of my sisters is a mystic...

She lives on a farm just south of Owen Sound. Old sacred Ojibwa land, a turtleback hill topped by an old medicine wheel. I love to sit there when I visit, and watch the tall grass dance to the songs carried on the wind. I hear voices call to me...

One of her daughters was married there two summers ago in a Buddhist ceremony...banners flying in the wind, joyful cries carried aloft.

My sister's kids are actors, and singers and composers of great skill and enthusiasm...they're so bloody young and full of life. What a treat...

Rain is another key to my inner peace. (How did you know?)

I'll strip naked and walk in the rain if I can, feeling the rivulets course down my body, washing the stains of my decisions away...

I have a well deep within me, of love, and patience, of understanding, and openness...you tapped into it early - am I that transparent? Or are you a child of the wind and the rain...sent to caress me with your thoughts and desires...

I am not a poet, but I love a well-turned phrase, or a well-told story that whisks me away into someone else's imagination...yours is an oasis filled with fresh dates and bright flowers, the promise of nirvana in the air...

My lips caress your sweet skin, and you settle into an embrace that fits us both well.
Sweet dreams to you
