Women Are From Venus

I greatly enjoyed reading the book Women Are
From Venus, Men Are From Mars. It helped me to understant the root cause of some of the miscommunication which occures between the genders. One term I have heard men use alot is "Friend With Benefits?" I think that means one thing to them and something different for a Women. An other term, not used as often is "Fuck Buddy" And I wonder, do men see both terms as being the same situation? Or do they see them as similar but different? By the same token, what do these terms mean to a woman?
I have my own interpatation of those terms and would like to see what your interpation is.
Maybe if mine are radically different than most
I will revise my view. Or maybe I will gain understanding to make adjustments to my own.

suppose first you have to define "no strings attached".
I found this comment in Bootcamp and wondered how many of the profiles
which say "Just looking for fun" actually mean the same as the following:

After careful consideration, deep thought and reading
about 200 profiles I thought...bullshit! It seems to be
a catch all escape clause for "if your heart or your
feelers get involved it's all on you" It appears
that no strings attached has become a polite way of saying
"I just wanna fuck ya and run"

I can’t say I disagree with you concerning no strings…

To me, a friendship with benefits is just like a traditional friendship ‒ only sex is involved. I think there has to be a connection for kind of intimacy.

Thank you for resaponding Apolybear. Thats what I thought it ment too.
Yet I keep finding guys who said friend with benefits but behave like
fuck budies. Then there are ones claiming to want a relationship but actually only want Friend with benifits or even just a one night stand.

that is the truth golden....i find that most guys dont really know how to word what they are really in search of....i figure its because they are trying to be polite...no, that has proven to be wrong...its becasuse they just dont have the rght words...or they are truly just looking to just have sex and nothing more.

Somehow i dont grasp the concept of meaningless sex...the only way i can be attracted to someone is if they have something that drives me...mental stimulation has to be in place and everything else will follow!

live more, laugh often, love much

Thank you Sunrisegirl. I do understand what I mean by meaningless sex, at least in my personal view. It is when there is sex for
recreation and no true feelings between the participants. When it
is only to use a women for genatial masterbation and for a woman to
use a man the same way. I just cannot give myself to someone in that way. I cannot help it if I care and a part of my soul seems to go
with them. And when the caring and the feelings are not returned I
feel degraded and depleated. If the feelings and caring is returned, then what was given is magnified and multiplied and totally fullfilling. And with subsequent encounters it builds and grows. And
most of all I want the memories of times spent with a loved one. Not
sexual-but camping trips and hosting friends and swap meets. I cannot build memories with one-night-stands.
