Senior Swingers retirement care home

At the swingers part we attended this past weekend the hostess and Stan and I got to talking about how we DON'T want to end our days in a prudest, clothes on all the time, no sex anymore home for the elderly.

I related a story about my mother. She had dementia and was put into a lock down ward, but that didn't mean she had to end her sexual life.

My father had gotten a call from someone on the staff saying my mom had tried to have sex with another man and they (staff) had had some problems getting her off him and back into her own room.

Now I am sure the man wasn't objecting, and my mom was surely enjoying herself so why did the staff feel it wasn't ok. I had no problem with it, I don't know if my dad did, but the point is she was enjoying herself, she still felt the desire for sex and she was in her late 80's.

So Stan, C and I started talking about a Senior Swingers, nude and sex ok retirement and care home and thought it was a great idea. We could staff it with swingers, or people with open minds, we even went as far as to figure out what kind of place it could be. We decided on a hotel, that we could refurbish, doors to all the rooms facing an inner hall, elevators a must, door open policy where anyone that wanted to could go enjoy themselves sexually or not. With a main sitting room, Dinning hall, Pool, jacuzzi. On the ground floor their would also be a library, and smaller rooms off the center big room for whatever came to mind.

The point is here, that we don't want to end up in the typical place. Where you have to have clothes on, where they frown on sex, where we are taken care of like we are children that have not lived a full life and know what we want.

So we started talking about investors for this sort of adventure. People that would invest their money in the start up of such a great place, and decided we could all pool our resources, the only problem being that all 3 of us are not rich.

But it could work, it really could work and just think on the money that could be made, because the place wouldn't be free, the seniors moving in would have to pay rent if it was set up that way, or maybe like a condo where you buy your unit outright. The thing is that the possibility of something like that working out would be astronomical.

So what do you all think? Is it a possiblity that should be looked into further? I am inviting any and all comments.

It's a very interesting idea. There would have to be ground rules, for example at what point would sex with a person suffering from dementia be considered abusive? There is an overlap as you get older between social and clinical care, and with the latter comes a legal minefield.

In principle it sounds great and I'm sure the financial, legal and practical issues can be worked through.

Ummmm? Just being Devils Advocate for a sec.....I know a RN who works in a nursing home in Ohio. From what i have learned from her over the years...The STATE Commission for the eldely will be a BIG problem.

The heart of the idea is awsome!! I could hang there."GET OUT OF MY WAY YA LITTLE WIPPER SNAPPER....I GOT A WOODY..AND I AIN'T AFRAID TA USE IT"

But not for another 30 years or so ((( lol )))

Good luck
