A Land of Extremes:

Because Alaska is a large as it is the temperatures can vary as much as one hundred degrees from region to region.

High temperatures can reach over the one hundred mark while the lows can exceed a minus ‒80 with out wind chill.

Juneau is the state capital, you cannot drive to Juneau. The only access to Juneau is by air or water.

The high tides can be in excess of 37 feet above mean tide.
