I just saw the cutest profile that appealed to the dash of estrogen that I allow to roam free now and then...
A young Pennsylvanian male said that he would love to have sex, but that he was more than fine with just sitting back and cuddling.
Cuddling? Cuddling!? How cutesy and old school. It was totally refreshing.
Many people (myself included) often forget the value and intimacy laced in human touch. Not kissing, sucking or penetration--but a hug, someone to lovingly touch your shoulder, maybe even hold you late at night when it's particularly cold out.
There are people in NYC who are making a killing off of cuddling services. $30 /hour to get into a sleeping bag with a stranger of the opposite (or same) sex and simply cuddle.
If you decide to go too far, there are ref's who call you out and kick you out. No sex in the champagne room!! *lol*
I'm sure that to most of you this whole scenario is really lame, but as you can see this touch issue impacts emotionally as well as financially.
There is scientific evidence that touch is important. Studies have shown that infants who were never held or talked to ended up being the sickest, and actually died within the 1st 6mths of life vs. infants who experienced physical and verbal stimulation.
SO... there you have it. If the infants need it, then surely we do right? Were we not once infants?
Anyway, hat's off young man in PA. You are truly refreshing, indeed.
