Now, did you remember everything? Your tackle box? Net? Bait? Hip waders? Sunscreen? Bug repellent?

Enjoy your time off and do not - I repeat DO NOT - think about work. Believe it or not it will still be there upon your return.

Oh and come back to post all those 'you shoulda seen the one that got away' stories.

already been called twice.
already been back into work to schedule the weekend becuase no-one else could do it
already been asked to attend a meeting on Monday
already been asked to "drop by" Monday morning to make sure that the schedule is still being worked.

I think that I will end up working just about every day on my vacation - and it really sucks.

Lil

I rememebered the bait, the beer, the snacks, the knife to cut the bait (which I forgot last time), my license, my youngest daughter, my nephew and the camera.

And the fish did not get away. Using the Taylor standard scoring system of 2 points per 1/2 pound of bass and 1 point for all other fish, I ended up beating my daughter 27 - 20. This was the first victory for me in over a year.

I also got really nice burn and several well placed mosquito bites.

(laughing) Ah, yes ... I love fishing, hunting for nightcrawlers the night before, loading up the truck, trudging back to the strip mines for that perfect spot. It's a little slice of heaven.

One of the first things my mother-in-law (may she rest in peace) ever told me was "never admit that you know how to clean fish."

Sadly, she was too late on that, and I've been the one to do so ever since.
