Exclusion zone

It seems almost amazing to me, that in light of the manufacturing plant's imminent closure, that the general manager can feel that it is just business as usual.

He has totally erased from his mind the fact that he is now the focal point for all of the hostility, hatred, and ire that exists on the shop floor.

For my part, I have informed him that there is a 5 foot exclusion zone around me. That way unless the guy with the gun is a bad shot, I won't get hit. Is this a sick joke?

No, it's a sick reality.

I know of at least 9 guys with guns in their rigs, and I know of at least 2 guys with guns in their toolboxes. I usually carry a Browning 9mm in my truck which I recently put in storage. Plus we have hunting season coming up so there will be a lot of rifles out in the parking lot.

Things could get most interesting over the next 60 days.
