A gift

Since I have now eclipsed 100 blogs,(this shows as number 101) I thought that I would thank the wonderful ladies who visit often, stay late, and always have something kind, interesting and important to say.

This is for Sunney, for Silly, for Lil and Jay, it is for Humboldthonni and lickmepretty, it is for redmartinigirl and bbw here in Portland, it is for the queen of minutia: sj, for my new friend playful, and my old friend barbie. This is for the friends that I have forgotten to mention and for those I will be making.

I do not know why you haven't found your true love, your soul mate, your raison d'etre. I only wish the very best for you and wish that you find what you are looking for.

The poem is from the 16th century and was penned by Thomas Dekker.

Golden slumbers kisse your eyes,
Smiles awake you when you rise:
Sleepe pretty wantons doe not cry,
And I will sing a lullabie,
Rocke them rocke them lullabie.

Care is heavy therefore sleep you,
You are care and care must keep you:
Sleepe pretty wantons doe not cry,
And I will sing a lullabie,
Rocke them rocke them lullabie.

I wish that I could hold each of you and make you happy, but alas, for now, it is not to be.
Sleep sweet, tonight, my darlings, sleep sweet.

Ahh ever the romantic. Very sweet. It seems particularly horrid and torturous that you are completely across the continent. The universe mocks us.

Ahh, Sunney, is not the purpose of the universe to mock us?

It's the drugs.
I will tell you I am no mooney schoolgirl awaiting my fantasy man.
There is no such thing as a soul mate.
My raison d'etre is tho help others improve their physical abilities.
Goodnite, I think my drugs are kicking in.

BTW, how did the Beatles get together with a dude from the 16th century to write the music for that?
Must have been the drugs.

hi jay, well Paul McCartney is old enough to have known Thomas Dekker (just kidding).
