Life Decisions................

I've been putting things off for too long. Been that way all my life, afraid to take that first step..to go on with what I need to do.
So, to end that I've made some decisions in changing my life. Tomorrow I go for the loan..to get my finances strightened out, get some work done on my van so I can clean and rid the junk from the home that I once shared with my ex wife and three kids in order to sell it. To begin earnestly looking for a job managing people in my chosen field as I once did before I took an early retirement. And the bigest change is to move cross country. To up root myself from the norm that I've come to know all my life.
It's been a long time coming, these changes. I really can't say why it's been thus, just part of my make up I guess. But, I've realized something, my kids are growing older and no longer need dad around to hold their hands too much anymore. In a year my youngest will turn eighteen...and she's already chomping at the bit to move out and be on her own, the middle son has been gone now for a couple of years, and the oldest whom I also share an apartment with..well lets just say getting into the bathroom in the mornings is sometimes awkward when he and his girlfriend are in there showering.
Now don't let me lead you on..I'm not leaving tomorrow..all this will take some more time, time to figure out logistics and such, time to ween the youngest and teach her the world isn't going to open up for her and give her the free ride she thinks it will. But in a year, things should be aligned and all the ducks should fall quacking into place.

I did the very same thing that you will be going thru. I have never looked back. It was one of the best thing I have done in my life.
I felt as though I was a teenager, learning new things, becoming independent, finding out who the REAL ME is. It has been a journey of growth and I am glad I made the leap...don't do it half-heartedly...jump right in...
Life is beautiful...you have been there for your children and now it is time for YOU!!!!
I wish you nothing but joy and re-discovery and re-awakening...
