The Eternal Ebb And Flow

Finding I needed to be alone for a while, I went for a walk in Southwark. From London Bridge, past the market, past the Bankside constuction site, and down to the Tate Modern area. St Paul's loomed into view and I pushed on through the tourists down to the river. The tide was out. A little boy was on "the beach" with his dad. He had a net and a bucket. "Dad, Dad" he excitedly screamed as he found something on the shore. His Dad gestured to him in that age-old "OK, that's good son" sort of way. But the boy was in the zone. In his imaginary world. What was he discovering? Dinosaur bones? Treasure? Weapons from antiquity? I felt a lump in my throat and went home.

Aaaaaah ... sometimes I think we all need to be able to lose ourselves like that - to be child-like (rather than childish - enough people manage that).

Hi Cassy. How could I not be interested in a black, hot, wet pussy? But what made you respond to my blog?

TQG - I think part of us always remains child-like.

Erik ... We may all have the ability to switch into that part of us ... but how many refuse it, bottle it up, lock it away from fear, perhaps, of not conforming with the adult world. What's the quotation? "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
