I've played with couples who've had firm rules against it. Gave her oral for hours but no kissing.

I'm respectful of my partners boundaries and limits so it's not an issue for me.

It does make the experience a bit more mechanical.

I find this less and less of an issue lately but perhaps that's because I see older, more secure people. They're less uncomfortable seeing this intimacy with their partner.

Hmmmmmmmmm, well everyone has their boundaries. The kiss - it is always one of the first questions. We never had a no kissing rule, and we started doing this in our mid 20's. One of the things about threesomes is watching your partner turned on, excited, pleasured - at least that is what it is about for us. Kissing is one of those things that adds to that - it is just a natural turn on, it brings pleasure, it brings excitement. I guess one would have to be secure in thier relationship to allow kissing, but if they are not secure in thier relationship - why are they doing this? So, maybe there is another reason that you and I don't know about.
