And the stars ... Standalone

She sat alone awaiting his return as it got later and later.

They'd fought the night before and he'd walked out and didn't come back.

When she got home from work she prepared a nice meal for them and dressed the way they liked her to be and waited to welcome him.

But he didn't come home.

And she got to thinking back to the events of last night and she remembered her parting words

'Oh I wish you were dead'

... and the betrayed look he gave her as he left and suddenly she was on her knees weeping, tears streaming down her face,

'Oh no you haven't have you? You mustn't have, you wouldn't have, you couldn't have, you are my life, my hopes, my dreams; together we are invincible, without you I am nothing - we both said that, it was just a line I've used many times before.'

And then began the pounding on the door and the phone started ringing and ...

The Stars Fell.

A watch pot does boil eventually

Today's throwaway lines kill tomorrow if the recipient chooses finally to believe them.

I have never believed the Catholic Dogma that as long as you truly repent you will be welcomed into the Kingdom.

Germany - Adolf Hitler - 15m Jews. 500,000 Gypsies, uncounted left-wing intellectuals, masons, homosexuals etc. Oh you're sorry Herr Shickelgruber do come in.

Russia - 100m in the Gulags Josef - you repent? Do come in?

Zimbabwe - Robert Mugabe need I say more.

Add your own country, your own madman/madwoman.

Turning to the above. Undoubtedly it was he who committed suicide and if there is a price to be paid then it would be his to pay.

Consider, however, her role - it was her hurtful words that pushed him finally over the edge. Do you not think she has a price to pay also?

Some things can never be unsaid if it is too late so to do.

Words are like a pebble tossed into the water. They create circles that have wide reaching effect. Words are spoken thought forms. Sometimes..they take on a life of their own and you can never call them back.
