What's Ur Sign?

Do pickup lines really work? Have you ever used one? Have you ever fallen for one? What is the worst pickup line you have ever used? Heard? What is the funniest? Did it work?

Huggs.. Cris
Pickup lines always work
Pickup lines never work
Pickup lines are a turn on
Pickup lines leave me cold
I have never used pickup lines
I always use pickup lines
What are pickup lines

Dove...
I have always felt that it isn't so much what one says to someone, but how one says it - and the feelings behind it, that seems to have the most positive effect.
Good question, and I like your blog very much, Dove. *smiling warmly*

Don't know if you saw the movie Manaquin back in the 80's...Kim Cattral and Andrew McCarthy. There is a sleezy guy who works in the store and is always hitting on a character. By the magic of Internet Movie Database (IMD, I was able to find the line I used on a girl once when I was making salads at Hardee's in high school.

Armand: Roxy! Roxy, Roxy. You know what you need to do right now? You need to put him and this whole nasty affair out of your mind. Now, how is the best way to do that, huh? Huh? By having a night of distastable sex with someone you care absolutely nothing about! And proudly, I would like to be that person.
Roxie Shield: Fine, let's just go to your place.
Armand: Really?
Roxie Shield: Drive fast before I have second thoughts!
Armand: Armand is the wind!

There was this girl who worked the front counter at the store there. I thought she hated me, we had classes together and she never said a word to me. So, there I was in the back, arms deep in lettuce and carrots and all the trimmings and I said, Sharon, would you ever have sex with someone you cared little or nothing about. It was met with the requisite rolling of the eyes and walking away in a huff. When the salads were made and the dishes washed, I made my way out into the parking lot towards my motorcycle (I told you guys I rode!) and there she was, waiting for me. (Que guitar wah music). The only juicy detail I will share (in public anyway) was that we wound up on top of a gravel pile in a city lot (the kind of chat/gravel they put on roads during snow). She told me that when she got home she realized her clothes were covered in dust.....So, that my illustrious history with pickup lines.

Usually just strike up a conversation about something that is going on right around us at the time. Nope, don't have a pick-up line. Kinda limits your creativity to a situation where it fits in. lol

I think pick up lines are best suited for the inexperienced and very seldom work most people want to have a conversation about something real and maybe what is actually going on around them or something they do and not lame uses of a line that has been around longer than they have.

I don't use pickup lines. I'm just no good with the delivery. But I like the one I just read above .... "So your husband's out of town .... wanna fuck?". I like that! Very direct! If I'm ever talkig to a woman who's husband is out of town I'll give it a shot!
