Common Sex Myth

While reading (I do that often) I found some common sex myths and I thought I would share one of them to see what others thought.

Myth: Only women can have multiple orgasms.
Fact: Although about 30% of women have experienced multiple orgasm, only about 10% do so on a regular basis. And contrary to common belief, some men can most definitely have repeated orgasms without losing their erections. This is, however, more common in younger men.

According to Wikipedia...
An orgasm, also known as a sexual climax, is a pleasurable physical, psychological or emotional response to prolonged sexual stimulation. It is often accompanied by a notable physiological reaction, such as ejaculation, blushing or spasm and may be followed by aftershocks.

It's the aftershocks that get me. Takes me a while to calm down.

After the orgasm is over, the clitoris re-emerges from under the clitoral hood, and returns to its normal size in less than 10 minutes. Unlike men, women either do not have a refractory period or have a very short one, and thus can experience a second orgasm soon after the first; some women can even follow this with a third, or even fourth orgasm; this is known as having multiple orgasms. After the initial orgasm, subsequent climaxes may be stronger or more pleasurable as the stimulation accumulates. Research shows that about 13% of women experience multiple orgasms; a larger number may be able to experience this with the proper stimulation (such as a vibrator) and frame of mind. However, some women's clitorises are too sensitive after orgasm, making additional stimulation painful; they are probably not able to experience multiple orgasms.

I wonder who watched a woman have an orgasm...

For the man...
It is possible to have an orgasm without ejaculation, dry orgasm, or to ejaculate without reaching orgasm. Some men report that the ability to consciously separate orgasm and ejaculation has allowed them to achieve multiple orgasms. Men who have practiced this technique extensively report that they can sometimes experience a continuous "wave" of orgasm. This can last, in theory, indefinitely, but in practice is limited by the man's ability to concentrate/meditate and "surf" the "wave". In recent years a number of sex manuals for men have delved into this technique. Men who have become adept at this practice also report more powerful ejaculatory orgasms when they choose to have them. It is uncertain whether this is a result of more time between ejaculations, or a direct result of practice. Interestingly, the male multiple orgasm requires that the man "hold on", maintaining control to prevent ejaculation. In contrast, multi-orgasmic women sometimes report that they must relax and "let go" to experience multiple orgasms.

There was so much information regarding this I couldn't list everything. Recently, I've been running across men who say that they can have multiples and ask me if I can. I really don't know to be honest. But I'm willing to find out.

I remember the first time I experienced an orgasm. Ah, it's the best feeling ever, simply nirvana at it's finest.

Anyone care to share a story with me about orgasms?

I've found that if I stop stimulation just before ejaculating in order to make myself last longer I sometimes have a little minnie dry orgasm when I start again. It's not as powerful as a full one but it's a similar feeling. One of these days I’ll experiment to find out just how many of these I can have.

Take a look at my [blog csd80]

Sac's Hot Spot has regular meet and greets that are allways fun. It can use some more active members, especially women.

What is a multiple orgasm in a male. How long between orgasms is allowed to be counted as multiple orgasms. It is my experiance that most if not all women can be multi-orgasmic if the partner is any kind of lover. When I was younger I was able to cum multipe times with and without loosing my erection between orgasms in multiple hour love making sessions with my partners ( and they came multiple times too). Now it is my pleasure to give multiple orgasms with my parters whenever we have sex. So I do not understand the question nor do I agree with the statistics.

Well, I can only comment on my own orgasms but let me tell you how they have changed over the years. Had my first that produced cum at 13. When I came it was like a porn star shooting at least 5 strong jets twice a day. I could literally launch cum up to 6 feet away. This slowed over time and now it is rare that I cum more than 6 inches. However, I have 0 refractory time, I don't lose my hard on. Generally the next few orgasms dry up pretty quickly. I still have a considerable load, but it is nothing compared to my youth. At 37 orgasms still rock, if my peak was at 18 or so it has been a hell of a good ride down.
