One for Papyrina

On the good advice from fellow blogger papyrina I found myself hunting for the only bar that had a commercial in Athen News. Paps put forward the suggestion to look for bars in the English language newspaper to find other expat’s to mingle with.

But there I was hunting for the bar in Glyfada. This country it a bit bad to navigate as half the roads is missing signs, and there is some fetish about naming every fifth street the name of “Venizelos”. But after an hour or so I found the place.

And boy, an expat bar that was. It was like stepping into an Irish pub. Full of smoke and a strong smell of beer…whoooa my kind of place…(well a little less smoke would be nice though..)

After ordering the first Guinness, I found myself in the middle of the collected Scandinavian expat society, and what a nice bunch of people that was.

We had a good night partying and I made a lot of new friends, so thank you for the advice Miss paps, I owe you one.

Now if I could just find the aspirin...

PS: even the airport in Athens is named Venizelos...just to confuse things..
