This Morning

Mood: Groggy.
Music: 3 Doors Down - "Away From The Sun"/CD

How many times has the alarm blared in the morning, you turn over and your first instinct is to cancel your entire day and go back to sleep? Uh huh. I did that this morning. This is perhaps the most carefree thing I’ve done in years. No, this blonde doesn’t usually have more fun.

I just don’t feel like doing anything organized or on schedule. Screw it. I’m going to the driving range. I may even see if I can get squeezed in on a foursome. First I’m going to eat something sinful for breakfast. No whole wheat toast or yogurt this morning.

I’m goin for the Pop-Tarts. Chocolate frosted.

Mom and dad are leaving tomorrow. I love my parents. We’re a very close knit family. My God, it’s time for my parents to go home. You know what I mean. They came to “help.” (Stop laughing.) Dad hasn’t moved out of the chair except to go potty, and hasn’t let go of the remote period. (Yes, he takes it to the potty.) Mom, well…bless her heart. Highly intelligent woman. Zero common sense. Zip. Nada.

Just one of the wonderful genes passed down to my daughter, who is currently experiencing heavy bouts of morning sickness. She won’t listen. I don’t know anything. Mom’s remedy? Warm bourbon and lemon. It’s her remedy for everything ailing you, passed down through generations. Dad’s helpful tips? “Feed her orange, green, and red Jell-O and let’s see what that looks like coming back up.” My daughter hasn’t mentioned leaving, yet. YET. Oh, please tell me there’s a “yet” in there somewhere.

I’ll eat my Pop-Tarts and make a run for the door. Let them feed the small pony disguised as a dog. I’ll go by the mall, grab lunch out, then head for the driving range.

After I go back to sleep for an hour or so.

The Orange Bowl 2006: Nirvana for diehard football fans. The last 2 oldschool legends, ages 76 and 79, delivering true blood and guts football. Didn't matter who won. The tradition surpassed the hype.

My divorce is final on Monday. It’s only taken six, looooooooooong years.

I haven’t had sex in, hmmm….well, forever. Ok, it just seems like forever. I’m just at that age where I really enjoy sex. Ok, I’ve been like that forever.

I could really use those Pop-Tarts about now.

Hope you enjoy your day - DT

I like strawberry flavored pop tarts. Then again I don't like chocolate.

Your parents visiting are like my mother visiting. The difference is, she is your mother and father combined. Mother, I must say, does have common sense, she does not always think things through before she says it, and is often offending someone.

I got up and sent my daughter off to school, then I blogged for a bit, then I went back to sleep. I slept in today till 11:30!!! It was nice. I would still be sleeping if my son didn't come and wake me up.

I'll blog for a bit, then I am going to clean! Drywall dust is not hard to get off things, but damned time consuming.

Make it a great day.

My preferences are for @4 pieces of toast, then drizzle some local honey on them. of course if breakfast is out the window, then its time for a drive down into Dallas for a 4 egg mushroom and swiss omelet. side of bacon, and toast.

Is the time for "Congratulations!", or "I am so sorry".

Hang in there, before you know it, mom and dad will move along and you will have some kind of peace and quiet.

Want some fresh honey for those poptarts?
