How do you know?

He knows all your secrets. You know his.

Plutonic, but there’s something about it you just can’t put a finger on. Crossing that line. Maybe. Possibly. Someday. You both think this and know the other thinks the same.

Do you risk losing deep-rooted friendship for a quickie? Or do you risk not knowing how his lips tasted for the rest of your life?

How do you know when or if you should cross that line?

DT, I've been asking myself this same question recently as I have developed sudden feelings for my best friend. I don't think he feels the same so I guess I would only cross the line if I knew for sure that he did.

When your heart tells you to. Be still...listen. {=}

Digs, it just happens? Spoken like a true man. lmao

CB - But what if you knew he felt the same question?

Tiller - Great idea.

Does he flirt back?
Does his face light up when you walk into the room?
Does he find any excuse to get close and hug or kiss you?
Does he ever say things like "what do you think it would be like... you know, you and me?"
Do you feel it's better to risk it than to spend the rest of your life wondering?

If you answered "yes" to at least three, talk to him about it.
If you answered "yes" to four, kiss him.
If you answered "yes" to five, what the hell are you waiting for to jump him?

Tigger - Thanks for the input. Yes, Tiller's advice does sound yummy.

CK - Hmmm.

HH - this is a question that's perplexed me for some time. If you find an answer, get back with me.

The soft flirtation, the hand brushing against the arm, a hair out of place, and moving it to one side. The flushness of the face. you give a hug, is it only from the chest up, does it linger, do you breathe when doing so, or hold your breath.

During a particular funny moment or hapenstance, just kiss him. For the joy of it. Then act like its no big deal and gauge his reaction. Nothing melodramtic, just a kiss. then move on with what ever you are doing. Shock and awe!

Ok, I read this a couple days ago and finally figured out what I wanted to say. Basing a sexual relationship on an existing friendship has always worked out better for me. That's not to say it works every time though.

Sometimes you have to be fairly blunt about it because maybe they are a bit more used to you and don't pick up on what you might consider to be subtle hints. Talk to them, see where their head is, see if there is an interest in pursuing something more.

If it doesn't work out sexually, if you had a good strong friendship established it shouldn't destroy it. I have a friend. We decided to try the sex thing. When all was said and done we kinda looked at each other and said, ok, wrong, that was like doing your brother/sister and went back to just being friends. Still friends after 13 years.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

Fock - Shock and awe, huh? Oh, it would be shocking to say the least.

Daphne - Thank you. Yours is the most logical reasoning. Gladly, your situation turned out ok. I'd just die if it didn't work and the friendship didn't survive. So I should use a hammer?
