Songs For The Road...and Elsewhere

It's warming up, so some summer road trips are in order. (Yay!)

I've recently gotten into downloading songs to my MP3 player and listening to them through my car stereo.

I don't know about you, but when I get to a music download site, I seem to forget what songs I logged in to look for in the first place. LOL

The way I've been trying to counter that is by writing down song titles as soon as I come up with them.

I change the music often, so my designated wake-me-up tunes for the drive to work this week are "Dancehall Queen" (Chevelle Franklin), "Unchained" (Van Halen - although that might be a better song for AFTER work...LO, "The Floor" (Johnny Gill) and "Still in Hollywood" (Concrete Blonde). I have a lot more songs on my player, but I'm not going to bore you with the list. It's a long one.

I listen to a lot of different music, so my MP3 player is filled with some really interesting stuff. Some might say bizarre. LOL

In the interest of expanding my music library, let me know what songs you like to listen to when you're in the car.

I'd also like to know which songs put you in The Mood. Yeah. You know what I'm talking about, baby. Don't be shy. LOL (Mine are "Alright" by Jamiroquai and the classic "Never Going to Give You Up" by Barry White, Love God. I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them right at this moment.)

I am always really interested in other people's musical taste, so this is going to be fun. I hope. : )

If you so choose this assignment, I thank you for your participation.

Smooches!

I don’t have an mp3 player but I do have 6 dicks in my car…I mean 6 disk in my car.

No songs in particular to put me in the mood but classical and smooth jazz sure help when the sheets are heating up.

O-K....my musical tasts are a bit eclectic. My all time FAVORITE album (does anybody remember vinyl) and one that ALWAYS puts me in the mood is "That's The Way of the World" by Earth Wind and Fire. When Phillip Bailey starts with that falsetto on "Reasons" (Love, I'm cravin your body....is it real....temperatures risin...I don't want to feel), I'm lost in the moment. Another classic "mood" album is John Klemmer's "Glass Dolphins." There's a guarantee that comes with the Klemmer album--if you don't get laid while THIS album is playing, the record company gives you a free set of dishes.

I know Mike Damone's advice in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" was Led Zeppelin III but that just hasn't worked for me.

As for good driving music, I listen to newer alt.rock stuff like Weezer, Radiohead and my old favorites "The Clash."

Music is the personal rythym of a persons heart, Run away and hide the children. Morning day and night it has to rock, JET, Powderfinger, Greenday, MotleyCrue, and still a taste for the Sexpistols and the Ramones.

I would ask you to marry me Chucka, but Mr. DC Ebony might protest a little bit. LOL

You can tell a lot about someone by the music they choose. (Tala is a very bad boy.)
