Long Time, No Post

Greetings, Gentle Reader -

I know, I know. I don't call, I don't write and I make some of you worry.

I won't bore you with the work details. I went from generally miserable to extremely frickin' miserable over the course of the summer and the past few weeks. Who says that I haven't made progress?

On the A F F tip, a couple of interesting prospects have totally dropped off the radar. I can honestly say I did my part to keep in touch but if the (un)interested parties think I'm going to chase them, I wish then luck with that.

I'm not an Angelina Jolie (or fill in other disgustingly attractive woman here), but I've never had to run after a guy in my life. I'm not about to start now, especially because I might scuff my shoes in the effort if I did.

It's not all doom, gloom and jokes about shoes.

I did manage to see the person I'd been sulking about (the one that lives five hours away), so all was right with the world this past weekend.

So that's my report.

Let me know what's up with you. Whatever you want to share is cool. I'm listening...er, reading.

I have been snooping on various blogs, but tell me something that you haven't written about yet.

I promise I won't steal your ideas. LOL

DCEbony,

first, congrats on seeing your mysterious other, and de-sulk-ifying yourself.

Second, I should point out that Montreal is less than five hours away, where I'm sure you could find a multitude of interesting prospects...I can think of one, who's typing even as I... er... type... and who'd love to meet you.

Just think of it... an adventure in a foreign (sorta) country, where those greenbacks can go further (farther?) and a couple of co-bloggers (Sweetgenie_girl and myself) can show you the ropes... teach you the phrases... et cetera, et cetera...

Thrown in with this is the possibility of hearing things far too risque for posting to the world, that could be whispered direct into your ears...

Come on up, and all of us here will make it worth your while, and give you months of blog material,

Hopefully suggestive, er suggesting,

Alex

Haven't set any fires for Tiller to put out lately. Too wet and cold, I'm a fair weather arsonist. Also, waiting for ski season to start up (need to make up for serious lost slop time from last year).

Blogs posts that are pending for me to write, but haven't yet:

One night stands (pros/cons, intended or not)

Men/women ratios and social effects (inspired by article in Scientific American magazine)

Bad boys attract the bad girl in women (backed up by Dr. Drew)

Sexual chemistry online

Ideal mates and reality

Some coffee with my cream?

The Numbers Game

Look for these (and other postings) to show up in my blog ([blog Balanon2]) before the end of decade. So many ideas... so little motivation.

Five hours!!!
I wouldn't even consider it.
Maybe that's one of the reasons I haven't had sex with anyone other than myself in NINETEEN MONTHS.

Welcome home. I was beginning to think you fell off the face of the earth. Boy, do you have a lot of catching up to do.

Glad you got to see the guy and hope it was well worth the trip.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

Alex -

If I do make it back to Montreal one day, it would be a blast to meet up with you and Sweetgenie.

I remember stumbling out of one of the Peel Pubs many years ago, with great fondness. (The drink of the evening was Long Island Iced Tea in pitchers.)

What I do remember about MTL is that it's damn cold once November hits! I guess that's what happens when your city is sitting in the middle of a seaway. LOL

Who knows? Maybe I'll see you when it warms up.

Not having a fire is good, right?

Make sure you don't ski your entire ass off. A lot of the men (and I'm guessing more than a few women) would be devastated if you did.

Dang, boy.

I'm scared of you! Go on with your bad pending post self!

I am looking forward to reading what you write when you get around to it. It should make for some fascinating reading.

Thanks for visiting my little corner of Blog Land, btw.

    DC,
I missed you Baby Doll.Hope the Police have been helping you while you were gone.I have been purcolating a blog on older men-younger women...perhaps also a blog on looking back at life as a 48 year old man.Do not give up your job search as I found a job I absolutely love after suffering at THREE previous jobs. The Art of Possibility is right!
TomEboy -

I've switched out The Police and have been listening to a lot of compilation CDs.

The theme right now is music from 1980 until about 1984.

Don't you worry, my friend. Life is too short for me to be stuck at a job I hate. The minute I find something new, I'm going to make like The RoadRunner.

*Beep, beep*

Efiln -

I am ridiculously behind in my blog reading.

I'm thinking that I may need several pots of coffee to catch up with everyone.

Kisses to you and the lovely Lianna. (So should I kiss you both at the same time? Mmm...kinky... )

Dasher -

I'm not surprised that you're having successful meets, you charmer you.

When you're sharing your cold and rainy nights with that special someone (or someones), will you still remember to write to your online buddies?

I mean, once you're regained your strength?

Well, the boy has made the epic trek to see me on more than one occasion so I figured it was time to return the favor.

Usually a five hour drive would be met with a "Hell, no!" but this was something that needed to be done.

((walks away whistling casually))

Awww. Thanks for the welcome, girl.

If I'm going off the face of the earth, I'd tell you first. If I'm plummeting to certain disaster, I'll make sure I drag a few trolls down with me. LOL

Was my trip worth it? Abso-effin-lutely.

What makes a prospect interesting? Prospecting? If you truly were prospecting I think you'd have better luck in some river in Northern Cal than here. I've noticed a lot of sediment and not much sparkly stuff. Just my opinion that no one asked for though.

So how's the obscure music listening treating you? I was listening to Mazzy Star the other day. That's obscure.
Valleyrat -

What makes a prospect a good one? Similar sense of humor, physical attraction, ability to string a sentence together...that sort of stuff.

Y'know, I think I'm going to get some hipwaders, a plaid shirt, a straw hat and a prospecting pan so that I can take that river suggestion of yours.

I've seen some sparkly stuff on this site but then it doesn't look as good once you try to get up close to it. Maybe I'll have more luck in the river. LOL

I'm all about listening to a bunch of different people lately. Like I mentioned to TomEboy, I've been playing a lot of early 80s stuff.

In addition to that, I have a few different choices on my current playlist like George Benson, Shriekback, Rush, UB40 and Brenda Russell.

What I wouldn't give to see those folks partying together...

Glad you have an erotic life to keep the wicked fires burning.
humboldhonni -

My erotic life isn't quite where it needs to be, but it's getting here. Slowly.

I could make all sorts of jokes about wood and fires, but I'll save that for another time. LOL

Hey DCE!

Glad to see you alive and well.

I thought maybe I saw you last week in Frederick at Luke's Pizza. Do you know it?

Dutch -

I've never heard of Luke's Pizza so it definitely wasn't me that you saw.

Most of my pizza eating takes place at work. Not a week goes by where someone isn't having the 'za brought in.

Hope you had a good meal, though.
