Are you secure with your surroundings ?

How secure/insecure are you when you are on this site ? Do you have your password and handle automatically logged on when you enter this site, or do you type it in everytime ? I understand with those who don't want to share their photo's thats understandable, do you have this site logged in your history, or do you clean this off your pc ? For those who have pics, are you secure enough having not your breasts, not the dicks, not your left eyebrow, yet your face shown and revealed as mine is, or are you nervous even though its revealed ?

Good question! I type in my handle and password each time I log in, I delete cookies, temp files and history after each use, my photo does not show enough of anything for me to feel insecure. I did wait almost a month before I added a photo, to get the feel for the site and to get comfortable.

You know, I don't worry about any of that. I'm not cheating, I'm not famous, I can't get in trouble at work for being here, so I literally have nothing to hide.

I used to be scared, the first year or two I was on the site. OMG, what if one of the neighbors or someone I know sees me and recognizes me? Then I realized, they had to be on the site too and in the case of my neighbors and a few friends, I would have some great blackmail material. So, up went a pic. Then started the true hate mail, but hey, there have always been idiots here and there always will be.

I do the same thing that caressmewell does...I clean up after each visit before I log off. I DEFINITELY do not feel secure enough to post a pic, but will send one in email or IM if asked. I live in a small community, work in a BIG place where everyone will eventually come to visit and don't want to be recognized by anyone at all - ever.

I keep it as secure as possible. My kids each have their own login but still I don't want anyone seeing my stuff and that includes my personal information. I do lock the computer when I get up too.

I am not worried so much about this site. I do work from home on secure servers so I have to be careful.

Several ways to look at these issues for me-

Password, etc. not automatic, but this is mostly due to not wanting my kid to get into it (or students at work, ha)

Internet security - first of all, I've got all the firewall/anti bad stuff software so I'm pretty protected (ha, gives the phrase "always use protection" a new meaning). Secondly, this site appears to be really, really secure, as far as not automatically giving our stuff tho 3rd parties. That alt. pop up in the beginning is only a minor annoyance.

Personal anonymity - I've mellowed out a lot since I first created a profile. I was really paranoid about letting my identity be known at first. Heck, I even paid for my first month with a postal money order! Now I could ALMOST care less. But as long as there is an element of meeting people involved (very minor now, but still exists), I will keep an element of discretion. But this has to do with local stuff, not blogs. In fact, I am considering sending my cell phone # to those of you with whom I feel like I 'know' but who aren't going to Chicago, so that you would all be able to say hello to the gang.

Yikes, long comment. Sorry!

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]

When I click on the AdultFriendFinder link I have on my desktop the site automatically has me logged on.

Do I have a photo that shows my face on my profile? No. But my eyes are there.

Do I have photos in my network? Yes.

Why don't have I have a photo of my face on my profile? Because I am a teacher in a very small town. I teach computers, and on the lab computers I have seen this site, so I know the students are looking at it.

Do I need my students questioning me about what I do in my free time? No.

caressmewell-I did the deleted cookie thing for awhile as well, yet i live alone and the traffic in my home besides me and my cat is very slim-so i took that fear away after a few months, yet i still type in my handle and password everytime-there might be that time where i just get to comfortable and slip-no thanx

MissAnnThrope you quoted : I'm not cheating, I'm not famous, I can't get in trouble at work for being here, so I literally have nothing to hide.

This is so true on my side of the fence, i do live in a small community where everyone knows everyone, yet thats the only draw back that i may have, and if work finds out-hey i might get a date !

i go on this site only from my laptop. nobody else uses my laptop except for me. i do not type the url in the address bar rather i always go to google and type it into the search bar. i have my password saved so i do not have to go thru the hassle to type it out in every single site i join. honestly i don't feel safe to have my face pic up on my AdultFriendFinder profile. it's so much about being discreet and in the closet when none of my family members or friends know that i'm such a sexual person. also i do not wanna start albums for my network. most of the time, i'd just talk to individuals and we trade face pics. if you asked me for one, i'd gladly send it to you personally as i have nothing to hide from you in a more one-on-one context.

looking4fun_604 yourself living in a small community i totally understand, for i myself live in a very small community-you can throw a rock across town and make it to the other side while pokeing someone in the eye ! My job is a small company, yet many many customers come and go, yet i think i may have seen a guy that was on this site in my building, within the next few days, the guys pic was removed-so im not sure what happened there.

1hotwahine- my blog handle is not automatic as well, i tinkled with the thought quite a bit, yet at the end i just left it at typing it in, what you spoke of this site being secure of 3rd parties is SOOO very true, I was just thinking the other day how that alt pop-up was a minor annoyance, and here you spoke of it !

please please don't worry about your comments being to long, i enjoy the every comment given, from one lines to major paragraphs, it just shows me that your mind is rolling on the subject

duststormdiva being a teacher in a small community is very understandable, especially when you notice your students brushing against this site-i myself am in a workplace where i just don't care if im seen, even though i get 100's of customers a day who may see my face-the statement given to them would be, what are you doing on this site if you found me here yourself huh ?
